Had 2 really good meals in the grill restaurant. Quality food, good sized portions and really nice staff.
A nice hotel in the town centre with car parking opposite, £2 for 3 hours. I was there for lunch, sandwiches, omelette, chips etc and drinks. Polite waiter service and quick. Food was very tasty, I recommend the Welsh Rarebit, very nice indeed. A nice environment and good value for money.
Didn't stay at the hotel, but had a great meal. The food was wonderful and the service was spot on. The view of the park was also a nice addition.
I had 3 very enjoyable meals at the Royal Oak Hotel during my recent holiday in North Wales. The food was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. It was one of my favourite places to have a meal during our holiday. I particularly liked the roast topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding and vegetables (which is available all week and not just on Sundays). My favourite dessert was the treacle and ginger sponge pudding with butterscotch sauce and ice cream.
We managed to get booked in at short notice and was very glad we did. Had a table by the window and had a three course meal. The food was fantastic. The risotto I had was out of this world. Service was great and good draught beer to boot. Well worth a visit. Not cheap but you do get what you pay for.
Had planned to book a 4 night stay with my two kids this August. However after finding out the hotel manager thought it was totally acceptable, and even defends his scumbag staff who "humanely" killed a hungry kitten by beating it to death, I would rather sleep rough than give them a single penny of my hard earned cash. Locals and visitors should boycott the place plenty of other decent places to stay or eat. If that's the managers attitude cant imagine its much better if you had to make a valid complaint.
Never stayed there and never want to. A place where they beat a little kitten to death doesn't sound like a nice or welcoming place. I'll avoid this place at all costs.
Excellent, good value food, efficient friendly staff. Hands down the best pub (and hotel?) In Betws. Great local real ales as well.
Restaurant review only - delicious food. Both my friend and I enjoyed fantastic, seasonal food. The service was excellent and the drinks menu was fine. Would go again.
