Once again the very generous staff from one of our local schools and one that we will have worked in consistently for 20 years in 2019 have donated to Rubicon's programme across several wards in the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales.
Staff from Moorland Primary School donated £107 to our programme instead of sending Christmas cards to one another. This is the second year that Moorland staff have donated to the programme in this way and we are so grateful. The school... have been so generous in their support for our sessions with patients in the children's hospital having made donations for several years. We all appreciate it so much. The sessions in the hospital are led by Sophie Batey who is also the Rubicon dance leader at the school.
Thanks to all at Moorland Primary School for your kindness.

Well done to the wonderful team at Rubicon - Sophie, Anne Marie, Rhian and Sara plus young dancers Iestyn, Josie, Vic and Mabli who gave up their time today and bagpacked at Sainsbury's in Colchester Avenue, Cardiff. We are so pleased to say that we raised a grand total of £756.11 which will be put towards the Rubicon programme across several wards at the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales which is led by Sophie Batey!!! The staff at Sainsbury's were as welcoming as ever...just brilliant! Customers were so generous and asked lots of questions about Rubicon's work and it highlighted yet again the respect and loyalty that Rubicon has from so many people. Well done all. Tracey x
Such a wonderful concert at Ty Enfys Residential Home this morning which was part of the Rubicon/Music in Hospitals & Care programme. One of those mornings that was unforgettable! The room was full of residents, family members and staff enjoying the live swing trio that is the Keith Little Ensemble (Keith, Gethin and Robyn). Huge thanks to Anwen, Rubicon dance leader and the amazing and caring Ty Enfys staff who all worked hard to ensure the event ran smoothly. Rubicon has won the CCSkills UK Theatre Award category for two years consecutively. In March 2017 Tracey Brown won the award and in March 2018 Paul Davies (pictured below) was also a winner!! Well done us!! x
Wouldn't of fell in love with dance if it wasn't for rubicon boys and Tracey brown! Set me up for a exciting life!!
Without Rubicon I wouldn't be where I am now. I went on to train at NSCD...toured China and now live in London dancing with a company I have aspired to be a member of for years. There is no other course like Rubicon in the UK.
I will always be grateful for what Paul, Tracey and other teachers have done for me.
The happiest of 40th Birthdays to the wonderful,trailblazing Rubicon!! My life changed forever and for the better once I stepped over that hallowed threshold. Mentors Tracey,Ruth,Claire, Sam,Janet and Sally will always hold a dear spot in my heart. Penblwydd Hapus Iawn a DIOLCH! XX
Rubicon was the first professional dance studio I went to, when I was a young boy with Tracey Brown. I think Rubicon will always be the mother of dance studios, and the majority of welsh professional dancers including myself wouldn't be where they are now if it wasn't for Rubicon. Amazing studios with professional staff, the only thing I would like to see more of is professional dance classes in Hip Hop, Commercial & Performance for those dancers who want to go into the commercial field of dance.
My granddaughter Chloe Davies was amazing Rubicon is A very good place to study dance and learn new life skills.
