As this Robust boat was used for commercial work, it had 40HP outboard, now it is used for pleasure purposes only, time for an upgrade
Andy decided to go for a Tohatsu BFT90, a very nice engine with 5 years warranty.
... After the engine was run in we done some testing to make sure the correct propeller is fitted. Safe to say at 40 MPH and 5900 RPM this is set up very nicely, boat gets on the plane very quickly and stays on the plane at very low speeds, approx 12-15 kts

Mercruiser 4.3 MPI
As you can see, this poor Mercrusier suffered from head gasket failure.
Both heads removed, sent away for pressure testing, new hydraulic tappets installed, all parts cleaned, checked and refitted with new gaskets
... Finally we set up our computer diagnostic system to check everything was working as it should and clear any old stored fault codes, Also goes customer a full print out of run time and history.
