Rysseldene Surgery

The WORST place on the face of the planet. Prescriptions are rarely ready on the day they're supposed to be (bad news for those of us who require pain medication for chronic pain, and you run out -- tough luck!). Staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, especially on the phones.

I remember why I stopped using the NHS the stress of using it can damage your health.
I went to Rysseldene Surgery to have my foot dressed each day. Gareth, the nurse did a nice job and changed my dressing to one better than I was using. The bank holiday was coming up so he gave me four pads in order that I could dress my foot over the bank holiday.

I went to the pharmacy next to the surgery to buy 10 pads for myself.
Pharmacy - sorry we only sell them by the box full (EU law).
Me - OK I will have a box full please.
Pharmacy - Sorry you need a prescription for that, we will see if we can get one from Rysseldene Surgery for you.
Me - Thank you.
After a little under an hour.
Pharmacy - The nurse will not give you a prescription as you were given “loads” on the 21st August.

This happened on Friday 25th August, I only started using the pads on Wednesday 23rd !! Good luck and good health to anyone using this surgery when two further doctors leave in November.

Always helpful and friendly staff who do their best despite the seemingly ridiculous appointments system.

Rysseldene Surgery just gets better and better. You can no longer order a repeat perscription by telephone and you have to visit in person. If you don't have the repeat slip then you must fill out a form. I work Mon-Fri and often away from the local area. This practice in my experience is the worst and I'm having a conversation with the Practice Manager and Local Health Board. Don't register with them...I'll be registering with another practice.
