Sitting in the cafe with a smile on my face watching a member of your staff go out of his way for a customer. The customer has physical disabilities and your staff member (older gentleman called Thomas) is putting condiments on the mans food for him and checking he's got everything he needs. I can tell it means a lot to the customer but also that Thomas enjoys his job. Lovely to see that personal service

Beware when going to the travel desk to change money... I asked was the rate better online only to be told all rates are the same at the desk same as telephone orders.. they definitely are not...plus I lost out on my nectar point which was double. Totally wrong information given out...the rate is less at the desk...

When this store first opened it was perfect now the shelves are regularly half empty and it's almost impossible to get bread with a good sell by date.

Very unhappy customer sorry ex customer. Was told I couldn't get my Denny Ham shaved which I have been getting in store for years. Why display you will cut as the customer requests when you clearly don't. A complete JOKE.

Like a lot of my friends, I have always liked Sainsbury’s as a brand but Bangor Sainsbury’s has put us badly off for three reasons.

1 they regularly run short of certain products requiring us to go elsewhere to fill our shopping list. Fresh produce is the best example.

2 they quickly run out of their Nectar “offers” presumably because of limited stocks or the desire not to overdo the rewards given.

3 they are always seriously understaffed at check out. Even when the shop is busy there are queues and often the self service check outs are turned off or not working. They should take a lesson from Bloomfield Tesco who always seem to have adequate check out staff on duty and where all the self service counters are operational.

A pity - let’s hope they pick up their standards soon.

When buying 'My Weekly' today it was priced at £1.20 but at the cash out it was £2.20. Beware and check your receipt!

My friend has been very upset all night as yesterday he was accused of shoplifting and banned from all Ni stores... He had trouble with the new self check out tills, he hadn't brought his glasses and asked a member of staff to help him. She checked through his items and told him that was it and to put his money in. When he walked through the door a security man put his hand on his shoulder and told him he hadn't paid for items in his bags...

My friend was shocked and actually thought it was a joke (as he comes into store everyday, sometimes twice a day and would joke about with some staff members).

Anyway.. It turned out to be a reduced piece of chicken from the deli counter! £1!!!

My friend was embarrassed and immediately took his £1 out to pay but then was frog marched from the front doors right through the shop and up to managers office where they viewed cctv cameras. yous then proceeded to bar him from every sainsburys in NI.. Then marched him out to carpark and actually waited until his car had left carpark!!!! My friend has learning difficulties and has been distraught over this. He thought he had made a mistake at tills and this is why he asked for help.. It was a genuine mistake and everyone is very shocked to hear how this was handled.

Good evening,

I am writing to you as I am absolutely disgusted at how I was treated tonight at your bangor store. I have twins that are two and a 5 year old and spend a lot of money on my weekly food shop in your store every time. Tonight I paid my friend to take me to the shop to grab some wee bits for my daughters lunches for school. I had already had a horrific day and was very stressed and running about like any other mum does. I arrived at the shop at 5.40 and quickly lifted what I needed whilst also trying to control my tired children. I had a few bits in a small trolley and went to just quickly grab a packet of oranges when an extremely rude lady in and around her thirties with a short blonde bob approached me and rudely said "eh, we can't serve you that, it's after 6 o'clock and we made an announcement over the intercom we were closed". I explained to her I couldn't make out what was said as it's very muffled and loud and I was trying to comfort one of my kids. I checked my phone and it was exactly 5.58pm. I pointed out to her the fact there were a couple of other customers still waiting at the check outs to be served so why couldn't I be served? She replied by telling me she wouldn't allow me to be served, the others had reached the check out before closing time so they could be served but they couldn't process a payment after 6pm as it was illegal. She told me to leave my trolley and go.

I was absolutely disgusted at her rude attitude and tone of voice. She singled me out infront of other customers waiting. I broke down in tears outside because my day was going from bad to worse. I work in retail myself and would never be allowed to turn down a sale, I feel that once a customer is in the shop, they have a right to purchase the products they have just spent 20 minutes with screaming kids getting! Loads of staff members seen me rushing through the Isles and not one stopped to tell me I wouldn't be served. I'm just still extremely confused as to why others were allowed to be served and yet I was made to feel so embarrassed.

I walked away empty handed. And yous lost out on a sale that would've been around £50 plus now easily 150 a week that I will never spend in that store again. I normally don't like to make a fuss however I really am disgusted at the treatment I received tonight.
