Sara Lois Jewellery Description
After graduating in 2011 with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Product Design degree from Bangor University Sara set up her workshop in her home village on the Llyn Peninsula in 2012. Previous to setting up her business she undertook placements with various jewellery designers in order to gain experience in both practical making skills and business operations, which she strongly believes has been her most valuable experiences to date.
Inspiration is found in the everyday, be it from her Welsh culture and heritage or that of others encountered away from home. Designs are influenced by a combination of experimentation with new technology /processes and traditional craft techniques. Designs often incorporate mixed materials, hidden details, repetition, kinetic components and an element of personalisation.
Sara's objective is to create simple, sleek and contemporary items that are original and intriguing yet highly wearable.
Sara is a part of CGGC /NWJC ('Cywaith Gemwaith Gogledd Cymru' /North Wales Jewellers Collective), a professional members group of contemporary jewellery designer-makers, based across the North of Wales.
