My name is Sarah Newell and I am an online Personal Trainer.

I have had quite a health and fitness journey.

I started off getting into exercise and wanting to better myself due to be very overweight as a child which led to bullying and a terrible self-esteem.

I bettered my life through exercise and healthy eating, however I took things to the other end of the scale which resulted in becoming anorexic and severely damaging my body. It was a huge battle mentally and physically and if I did not change, goodness knows where I would be now.

From then I have been on the road to recovery and I am where I am today. I am extremely passionate about all things health and fitness, especially nutrition and focus mainly on weight loss, body conditioning and strength training.

I feel my past allows me to work with all different walks of life and be able to change their lives for the better.

I hold the following qualifications:
*Level 2 Fitness Instructor
*Level 3 Personal Trainer
*Level 2 Indoor Cycling Instructor
*Boogie Bounce Instructor
*Level 3 Sports Massage
*Foundation Degree in Sport, Exercise and Science.
*Level 1 GAA Football

90kg✅ next week I need to focus on ensuring I hit parallel and watching that knee cave, apart from that I’m a happy bunny! This was after 4x3 and 2x2 so I can definitely see a 100kg PB on the horizon!🏋🏼‍♀️

Today has been one hell of a day. First day and two clients down and I couldn’t be happier. Finally getting into what could be my own personal gym and doing what I love to do!
Big thank you to everyone who has wished me luck and all the kind words! And an even bigger thank you to my beautiful ladies for their hard work today!

*NEW ANNOUNCEMENT*
Been a little on the down-low recently. Reason is I’ve been planning some exciting things!!
SO
... There is potential of me starting to personal train in the SportsPlex gym in Bangor.
This gym is linked to Aurora and when anyone comes for a session they do not have to pay extra. So all you would need to pay for is the personal training session (starting at £25 which includes weekly check ins and diet plan)
I will also be running an 8 week boot camp/weight loss scheme (£5 per session - £40 for the block.
I am alsooo going to run classes such as spin/circuits once a week which would be £5 per class.
Before I launch all of this I want to see if there is any interest out there. Could I get some feedback and see if any of you would be interested?! Comment below or send me a message if you would be interested in any of the above or want more information and we will get the ball rolling!!
Summer is coming in quickly and it’s time to start working hard!!

This is just one side of my glute/piriformis and only hours after attending my first of five physio sessions. As you can imagine I am in absolutely agony!!😖
I MASSIVE wake up call for me this today. I have been having serious back trouble for the past year and been back and forward from the doctors, Sports massage etc to try and it solved. I always get told I’m tight and need to include stretching into my routine which never happens.
Today, I was referred to physio as my bac...k went AGAIN last Wednesday and I could barley walk. The physio was disgusted with me and said “my body is in a worrying state for my age”. 1 hour of ultrasound, deep tissue massage and vibrations later I can feel the slightest bit of relief.
Basically I have the tightest glutes, hip flexors, piriformis, hamstrings and calves that you can imagine and this is all pulling and putting stress on my back.
It’s going to take around 5 sessions to loosen everything up alone. Followed up with maintenance sessions every 5-6 weeks.
This just proves the importance of STRETCHING and MOBILITY. And is something I will be including into my daily workouts.
Nothing is worth damaging your body like this!!

The bench press🏋🏼‍♀️ an exercise I have ALWAYS struggled with. • Personally, I would have a strong Incline DB Press but my bench sucked. • It’s something I’ve continued to work on and not let it defeat me. Today, I finally managed 6 reps at 40kg (would have been a solid 8 with a spotter).... • This will be nothing to a lottt of people but for me it’s a massive goal achieved! • Body weight is next😛💪 #StayHungry

The life of a vegetarian lifter🤓🌱 • Now, I use the term vegetarian VERY loosely. I chose this lifestyle purely down to convince for meal prepping and actually nothing the benefits to not eating meat. I’m less bloated, I have more energy and just look and feel better!! • Don’t get me wrong, this won’t stop me from getting a steak or burger when I go for a meal (referring to last Saturday😍🍔) ... • But here is a sample of a few meals I eat throughout the day. I note.. A FEW meals. My calories are now 2350 so I eat a hell of a lot more than this!! • In the picture we have: Oats, almond milk, whey protein and grapes (usually post workout) Rice with courgettes Broccoli and sweet potato Mixed veg stir fry with noodles (noodles not pictured) • I absolutely love vegetables and have finally found a diet that works for me and completely feeling the benefits to it. Fuel your body with the foods it needs.🥦🥒
