This weeks video shows you two different sets of pad work that you can use.
1. Turn spin retreat ! A routine we use at our school to set up opponents by moving forwards and back and bringing them onto your strikes.
... 2. How to set up the back kick !! With some bonus footage of how it can be used in a tournament scenario.

HereŌĆÖs another video showing some more possibilities using a free standing bag or bob XL. This video shows more combinations than last weeks , including boxing levels and movement. 1. Lead jab - lead body hook - right hook (body) left hook to the head.
2. Lead jab - lead body hook - right hook (body)... Left hook to the head - circle out ( using footwork) and re-enter with a rear leg turning kick.
3. Jab - cross - spinning backfist - turning kick - jumping knee to the head.
4. Double switch kick - reverse turning kick - double turning kick ( body head )
Do 3 rounds of each drill for 30 seconds with a 15 second rest interval in between.

Lots of people / students buy a free standing kick bag , wave machine or the one we use in this video ŌĆ£ BOB XL ŌĆ£ and never really get to use them simply because of the lack of routines or knowledge. In this video there are 6 mainly leg attack routines that you can use on your bag which are broken down for you ...........
1. Hop in - hook - turn - side kick 2. Side kick - back fist - step back - side step - hop in hook turn.... 3. Side step - hook kick 4. Reverse hook - retreat back 5. 360 degree turn - reverse hook 6. Retreat - lift (chamber) back fist - reverse punch.

The Instructors always ask me to look them in the eyes ­¤æĆ when I talk to them I sometimes forget to do that with you. I am sorry­¤ż”­¤Å╗ŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤ż”ŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ­¤ż”­¤ ÅĮŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ Please remind me, gently, how important that is.
Sir and the other instructors say that soft drinks and sugar are poison to our bodies. I love sugar and soft drinks­¤źżbut maybe we can all cut down on it as a family­¤æ®ŌĆŹ­¤æ®ŌĆŹ­¤æ¦ŌĆŹ­¤æ” That would be a lot easier for me. And good for all of us, I think.
I am going to be a Black Belt­¤źŗ­¤źŗ I know thatŌĆÖs what you always wanted for yourself and now for me. I will share my lessons with you. Maybe we could be Black Belts TOGETHER?
And just for your information, you are already a BLACK BELT in my mind.

We had a Nerf Party for my 11 year old son. Absolutely fantastic, can't recommend enough. Great fun for all ages with friendly helpful staff x

My son had a nerf war for his 8th birthday with you. The party was a massive success & great fun was had by all! Everything was fab & cant recommend scorpion kickboxing gym enough. Thank you all x

Scorpion Kickboxing Gym has a real family atmosphere and the coaching/staff are brilliant with the kids , I would highly recommend you pop down and take a look. Since my son has started he has loved every second of it! And we are proud to be a part of such an excellent team! #teamscorpions

My son had a brilliant nerf birthday party ’┐Į in scorpions kickboxing today. All the kids (and some dadŌĆÖs) had a blast ’┐Į thank you

My son attended his first trial last night, and the smile he had when he left was unbelieveable, safe to say I think this is the activity he needs to be apart of

My son and about 25 of his friends had the best time at his Nerf War party. Everything was well organised with safety glasses and Nerf ammunition provided. The staff were amazing and had all the kids full attention. Many of the children saying it was the best party ever.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for something a little different than the usual birthday party.

My cousin and I joined the Scorpions a few months ago and are so pleased that we did. I have never engaged in any martial art before and had some preconceived ideas about this kind of environment. I couldn't have been more wrong! This is a warm and friendly environment with highly professional instructors. All of the team are very supportive and encouraging, and don't worry, they don't shout! Also, the students, at all levels are always happy to help each other, and it is so much fun. I would definitely recommend this club if you are considering kickboxing!!!!

My 2 boys and their friends had a brilliant Nerf battle birthday party yesterday. Thanks to all the staff for their great enthusiasm and giving the kids a great time. Would recommend as a fab idea for parties.

It's an amazing place to be! It's unbelievable fun, first time I went I didn't want to leave! But it's your commitment that counts! The sweat! The time! The devotion! It pays off!!

Definitely the place to be... fitness and self defence made fun. More importantly staff and students are so friendly and make you feel so welcome, coaches are 100% committed to their students and you will always leave feeling tired, pumped, happy but definitely wanting to come back for more.
