Scrappy Dayz

We are planning a mini Album workshop at the end of August start of September. During the workshop you will be taught how to make the covers and create a spine to hold the pages of the album that you will create and cover with pretty papers.There will be 4/6 pages in the album which will have pockets and flaps. You will be provided with a kit that will have enough product to complete the album. The kit will include grey board, magnets,card stock, pattern paper pad and any trimmings that will be used to create the project plus a full printed tutorial. I don’t have a date as yet or a cost. but the Cost will be kept as low as possible. If you would be interested in coming along please message me so you can be added to the list. The maximum number for this work shop will be 12.

Come and join us for a day of scrapping with an option of taking a class or two or just doing your own thing. You can choose to have a bowl of soup and buttered roll for lunch for £2.50. The cost of the crop is £6.50 all day if you purchase kits or £7.50 if you just come along and do your own thing.

As there hasn't been a crop for a while I thought I might post a monthly sketch to keep you in the Scrappy mood until the crops are back up and running. So here is the first sketch- as with all sketches you can turn it round any direction. You can use any element of it- just keep that scrappy mind busy!!!

Good evening Ladies, I have sent mails out to my regular ladies about the possibility of a Scrappy Dayz retreat in October/ November. The response has been very good- thank you. This time I am keeping it small so I have more time to spend with you all. So in saying that I have limited the places to 18. I will update this post when I have decided on a venue and of which format the retreat will be run. I hope that you will be able to join me.

All crops for the rest of the year have been cancelled due to personal circumstances.

Good morning The Christmas crop will be 10 th December this year. It will run from 10 am until 5pm. There will be two classes as normal and a raffle. Lunch of soup and roll will be available along with the normal refreshments. If you would like to join us please comment or message me.

Second page sneaky peek. You need a 4 x 6 portrait photo trimmed down to a 3 1/4 x 6 , blue ink pad and a pokey tool plus your basic tool kit.

First page sneaky peek For this you need a 4x6 landscape photo trimmed to a 4x5 . Black pen, a wide nibbled sharpie or similar i.e. Prismcolour if you don't have don't worry I have one.fine tipped scissors, plus normal basic tools.

For the third Scrappy Dayz challenge I would like you to make a "Buddy Box" The rules Decorate a box- shoe box, chocolate box, any box really. Decorate it prettily! Fill the box with things to make a "Buddy's " weekend special. Things you can add are wine/ pop, chocolate, sweeties, craft bits, toiletries - whatever you think would make someone happy. The suggest amount to spend on the contents of the box is £8-10 ... The boxes with be judged by me and swopped with a delegates on a like for like basis. The best decorated box in my opinion with get an little extra something . I hope you will all join in with this challenge. Any questions about this challenge please ask.

Just thought I would put the first two challenges on here in case you haven't seen the e mail. I hope you will all take part. Here is your first Scrappy Dayz Mini Retreat Challenge! I would like you to create a layout using the word AUTUMN as your inspiration. Use this word how you will with colours associated with the season and photos. There will be a prize up for grabs for the page voted by you the delegates to be the favourite.... The second challenge is to use the corporate colours of Scrappy Dayz..... You don't know what they - look at the group header. So the layout should have white, black, silver grey, light and dark pink. All the colours must be on the layout. Quantities of colour is up to you. Once again there is a prize for the layout that is judged by you the delegate to be the favourite. I hope you will all take part. There will be one more challenge that I will set later. Please bring your layouts to the Scrappy Dayz event. Looking forward to seeing your creations.
