Sea Kayaking Anglesey

Time for me to share my experiences as I have now been with Phil for the fifth time and it keeps getting better. Anglesey is rightly seen as the Mecca for sea kayakers and therefore full of big names and big personalities in the business. I would challenge you to find a more laid back, supportive and qualified coach than Phil. Once record holder for the round Britain paddle, zoologist by training and just generally a cool dude, he supports, educates and entertains everyone in his groups to the max, depending on what you want to get out of it. His equipment is absolute top notch, his local knowledge second to none and I have not seen anyone finishing the course with anything other than a big, albeit quite tired, grin on their faces. If you haven't been on Penrhyn Maw or the swellies with Phil, you haven't kayaked. See you again in June, Phil! Thanks for passing me for the 3 star assessment.

Really good weekend - Phil is a friendly, relaxed and very competent instructor with good knowledge of the local area who led our group with ease and skill. We all had an excellent time despite rainy weather and I can't wait to try more sea kayaking. Try the food at the Paddler's Return pub, it's excellent. Good value course and loads of fun. Quality gear provided, just turn up. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant! Phil knows what you're capable of (which is way beyond what you think you are!) and I for one ended each day amazed by what I'd done. Chilled out and nicely paced time on the water, taking in the tremendous variety that Anglesey offers, makes these weeks very addictive!
