Pull up a lobster pot to reveal the interesting creatures living below the waves. We carry a hydrophone (underwater microphone)to listen to dolphins and porpoises every time we see them.

We didn’t have a 2pm trip today, so we went to hunt some nurdles on the main beach. We didn’t realise we were going to find so many.
The recent north easterly winds have blown lots of seaweed onto the main beach, and if you look close enough, you will see lots and lots of plastic and micro plastic mixed in with it.
If you find any, post your pictures here, and report your finds at www.nurdlehunt.org.uk

We’ve been spotting lots of dolphins on our boat trips from New Quay over the last few weeks. Here's a selection of clips of our recent encounters.

A short clip of the wreckage in Aberaeron.

User

This is Aberaeron after yesterday’s heavy rain. About 14 boats have been sunk, mainly due to logs and other debris fouling their moorings and pulling them under.

User

If you watch BBC2 at 8pm this evening, you may get to see some people and bits of coastline that you recognise.

User

Another gorgeous day in New Quay.

There’s a basking shark off the main pier right now if you’re in the area.

User

Went on this trip today and not very hopeful in seeing dolphins as they hadn't really been showing themselves. But wow! Mindblown! We seen lots and one came alongside the boat. We also held a lobster from the pot and then put it back in the water. Andy & Tom were brilliant. Both very knowledgeable about the dolphins, birds and all things sea related. They put me at my ease as i'm not a very good sailor!

If you only do 1 boat trip while your in New Quay then this is the one to do. I recommend this trip highly. It's absolutely fantastic

User

Went on sunset tour sadly didn't see any dolphins but still worth it just to see the beautiful sunset

We, that is my sister and great niece had a marvellous trip on the viking last Wednesday 25th July. It was the sunset trip and it lived up to expectations. We left the quay in beautiful sunshine at 7.30pm, the water was flat calm and reflecting like glass. My 9 year old great niece was immediately captivated by the jellyfish pulsating by the boat. We had not been long out when the guys on the boat hauled out a lobster pot complete with lobster and spider crab. The guys were extremely knowledgeable not only on the sea creatures but also the history of New Quay. All fascinating and interesting. The climax to our trip was when two mother Dolphins and their calves came along side diving and cavorting right in front of us. What a privilege. We then saw a seal and then they took us alongside stunning strata of rocks where we saw a Peregrine, kittiwakes, cormorants amongst many other sea birds. The finale was a beautiful sunset. We loved the intimacy of the boat trip. It took only 12 passengers so plenty of opportunity to ask questions of the skipper and his team. We would certainly do the trip again - we were three very happy and delighted 'bunnies'! Thank you Seamor - you are the best

User

We had a wonderful trip today. The crew were lovely, the owner and family in the ship were so friendly. You made our day and we can't wait to come back!!!

User

We appreciated the smaller boat and group(10 people), the knowledgeable and friendly staff and were extremely fortunate to have plenty of good natural sightings of dolphins who were very relaxed. We were also shown a lobster and learnt some interesting facts about it. We saw a Guilimott chick out on the sea with its father that narrowly missed being snatched by a Black Back Gull. All in all an excellent trip out, our thanks to Andy and Tom. I

User

Way beyond expectations, we saw dolphins up close, lobster, spider crabs, all 3 generations of our family (and the dogs) loved it. Thank you.

User

Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great value for money. Brilliant trip with lots of information about the bay and all the wildlife, with great respect for the wildlife, especially the dolphins when we came across them, would definitely recommend.

User

This was the most fantastic Trip today to watch dolphins, I have seen a lot of places like the Atlantic Resort Bahamas or the Tulip Resort in Mussandam Oman to see dolphins but not only the staff on the boat were terrific in New quay, the dolphins were swimming and diving beneath the boat and had fun and the area all together was overwelming. I would higly recommend this trip to Wales on the west coast, Thank you guys and continue to do such a nice and professionel job. Jens Wutzke, Zürich, Switzerland

User

Thank you so much. Dolphins really are my passion and we saw lots ❤️🐬❤️. Fabulous trip, fab to see the lobster pots pulled up. Thank you ❤️🐬❤️🐬🐬🐬🐬

User

Thank you for a wonderful boat trip this evening. We all loved it and the kids thought it was fab despite not being lucky enough to spot a dolphin today. The spider crab, jelly fish, seals and birds more than made up for it. Getting to steer the boat was the icing on the cake. Than you for a fab time.

User

Thank you Seamor wildlife boat for saving our giant ball when it floated out to sea today! We were so sad but you really saved the day! Thank you

It was an amazing. Went out twice on this trip Andy and Tom were fantastic, very knowledgeable and informative. Although we weren't lucky enough to see and dolphins we didn't go home disappointed, got hands on with a few spider crabs and saw the seals. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience, hope to come back soon for more trips.

Sorry again for the kids wrecking the binoculars .

If you go to New Quay take this boat trip!!

User

Fantastic trip today! Although we weren't lucky enough to see dolphins we were far from disappointed. We saw beautiful views as well as sea birds, jellyfish, spider crabs, seals and the chance to hold a lobster! It was our boys first boat trip and the staff were amazing. They really took the time to chat and interact with them. The staff at the booking office are just as lovely, helpful and friendly. And again took time to chat with our boys. The weather was really on our side with glorious sun and calm seas but the staff made it a day to remember! We will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommended!
