About Seiryoku Zenyo Kwai Judo Club
Seiryoku Zenyo Kwai Judo Club
Seiryoku Zenyo Kwai Judo Club Description
Hello and welcome, i'm Lisa Thomas sensei of Seiryoku Zenyo Kwai judo club.
I've been practicing judo for 20 years. I started at the age of 6, training in Old Castle Road, Llanelli, where I met the most amazing, inspirational person, the late Sensei Steadman Davies MBE who taught me much more than judo itself.
I started competing at the age of 8, throughout
Britain and Ireland, winning over 100 medals
throughout my junior /senior competitions.
At the age of 14, I trained for 2 years under the late
Sensei Billy Doak, another great inspiration who
also trained under Sensei Steadman Davies MBE
and am still currently practicing jujitsu, under
Sensei Barry Davies of Goshin Jujitsu Wales.
At 23, I had the privilege of competing at the
Commonwealth Championships, achieving a
bronze medal. A year later in 2010 I achieved my
1st dan black belt.
I have since gone on to obtain my Judo coaching,
child protection and first aid qualifications in 2011.
I am also a qualified Gym, Circuits and ETM instructor.
I now look forward to opening my club and passing
on my skills and knowledge to our younger
generation .
