Seren in the Community is a charity supporting children and young people, and the wider community in Splott, Tremorfa, Adamstown and Roath.

Seren in the Community is a charity supporting families, children and young people, and the wider community in Splott, Tremorfa, Adamstown and Roath (STAR) area.

We were set up in 2016 as a Community Interest Organisation after community members came together with the aim of saving Splott and Adamstown Play Centres which were at threat of closing due to local authority cuts.

We want the STAR area to be a thriving community in which all people have equal access to opportunities, good health and well-being. In order to be able to achieve this we’ll deliver services which are led by the needs of the community that will create positive change, we’ll collaborate with local partners to create sustainable facilities and we’ll create inclusive environments which will empower and provide opportunities for everyone to reach their full potential.
