A little tutorial of me curling my hair in around 5 minutes :)

Morning World ❤ Here are a few tips to keep your hair hydrated and healthy whilst we are all in quarantine: 1. Buy suitable shampoo for your hair type. For oily hair I recommend BedHead Fully Loaded (pink/purple bottle) and for dry/damaged hair BedHead Recovery (blue bottle). 2. Invest in a silk pillow case or night cap; honestly, this is a game changer! Sleeping on silk will reduce friction which causes damage, a cap will also help to evenly distribute the natural oils fr...om your scalp through the ends resulting in less greasy roots. 3. Avoid drying/styling using heat (unless you're off on your weekly shop to tesco and fancy looking a little glam, then I'll let you off) but always use a heat protector (I use affinage but there are many alternatives). 4. Heat up some olive/coconut/almond oil (not too hot) and apply to dry hair. Cover with a shower cap or cling film and keep in for at least 30 minutes. Apply shampoo before wetting and lather as much as possible, rinse, shampoo again and condition. This is a great natural alternative to conditioning treatments (you can thank me later😉). 5. If you have extensions TAKE CARE OF THEM; use a conditioning spray/oil every night and then loosely braid it. I recommend L'Oréal Mythic Oil. If we are closed for much longer we will get in touch to assist in DIY removal. 6. Use headscarfs, clips and headbands to dress up your hair if you fancy a change! 7. Eat a healthy balanced diet, protein promotes healthy hair growth! Chicken, eggs and fish are my favourites but tofu, lentils, chickpeas and many beans are great alternatives! A lack of protein has been shown to increase hairloss. 8. Massage your scalp, this will encourage blood flow to your capillaries which will promote healthy hair growth. TIP - do this whilst your oil mask is on for extra benefits! 9. Brush your hair before washing! Hair is weaker when wet so brushing hair after your shower will result in breakage and frizz! 10. Keep smiling, stay healthy, stay positive. ❤️

There is no way of carrying out our services whilst also adhering to the government guidelines of a 2m distance/ no unnecessary contact.
... We understand some clients may feel this is extreme as it 'hasn't reached us yet' but this is how we will limit the spread and in turn limit the strain put on the NHS and all the staff there.
We hope all our clients understand how hard this is for us as we understand it is an inconvenience to you.
Apologies to anyone who was booked the coming weeks, we know this is slightly last minute but we needed time to think.
We appreciate all the support and custom our clients have given us over the years and we hope to see you all when our door is open again. Also, a massive thank you to Rita and Gareth who help us keep the salon running like clockwork!

As a small business we need to implement a few measures to ensure we can continue to provide our services to you following whatever may happen with COVID-19.
Can any people needing to cancel please let us know as soon as possible! Our cancellation policy still stands if we are not given fair notice (unless in special circumstances). Once cancellation slots are available we will post them for people who may want to move their appointment forward.
Mother's Day is approaching an...d we sell gift cards in the salon! Buying gift cards / putting a down payment on your future appointment will help keep our business open during a possible closure.
If any of our clients have been abroad within the last 4 weeks, show signs of having COVID-19 (dry cough / fever) or falls under the high risk / must self isolate category can you please contact us to rearrange your appointment for April.
Everyone in good health, trust that we are taking all precautionary measures to keep the salon clean during this time. Including limiting the number of people (Sue will no longer be working) so we please ask you also come alone and on time to your appointment to avoid crowding whilst you wait.
