Severn Plumbing & Wood Burning Stoves

Going to have fun today , need to re pipe this heating and hot water system that is running through a heat main from a biomass pellet boiler, Unfortunately this has been installed incorrectly and to help matters no isolation or drain points have been put into the system.

Old Rayburn taken out this week that had been converted from solid fuel to Oil in 1982. Replaced with a Newer oil fired Rayburn Heatranger together with chimney liner and new chimney pot and bird proof cowl. Incredibly heavy to move about especially getting the old Rayburn out through a narrow doorway and down two steps.

Finished work a bit earlier today so I strimmed and tidied up around our village sign , even tried to knock some of the dents out of it .

A bit lower to the ground today doing some repair work on a cabin roof . Suns out and getting looked after by the customer

Replaced the original stove A lovely little 5kw stove installed together with a 150mm flexi flue liner. The original chimney pot had perished so a new pot was installed and cemented into place. The customer is going to tidy the slate tiles up and replace a couple to finish the job off. As usual the scaffolding tower was being used to give a safe platform to work off.

Quick job to repair a leak in the heating pipe work turned into half a day as the header tank was totally blocked with sludge ani in an awkward place as well, But what a lovely interesting old shop to be working in

Couple of bathrooms finished of this week in the same new house

Compact unvented cylinder installed along with a complete bathroom installation in a small chalet style new build.

Fully air tested the system then filled with water. Boiler fired up and heating tested, new modern style radiators heated up and worked well. A temporary power supply was fitted until the electrician comes back and completes his side of the installation.

Out to repair A 40kw Burnit Pellet Boiler today. The Boiler would not light , after investigation the fault was traced to the automatic Pellet auger feed, unfortunately the Pellet hopper had to be emptied by hand to allow for repairs. Once repaired and the hopper topped up with pellets the boiler was back up and running.

New kitchen sink fitted along with a renovated bathroom. Lot of work removing old ducting from a warm air heating system before any work could start. New toilet, Basin,shower screen and towel rail installed

Old oil fired range decommissioned and replaced with an external Worcester Combi Boiler. Much more efficient and no oil smell in the house.

Old Bathroom removed and replaced with a large shower tray and screen , new toilet and basin installed and old radiator replaced with a new towel rail.

A new 150mm flexi flue liner installed on this job. The solid fuel Rayburn was leaking fumes into the house so the new liner was installed, a awkward job as had to knock a hole into the chimney breast to connect up.

A poorly installed stove was taken out and repaired, a new 150mm flexi flue liner was installed and connected to the stove , a new chimney pot and bird proof cowl fitted. The stove is now safe to use and more efficient with the repairs done.
