Hi, well we are officially closed now and we did sell out of everything last night so thanks to all my customers for clearing us out and also the last customer yesterday who bought all our remaining wine which did deserve a special price as they are putting it to good use by raising money for charity so good luck to them.
Also thanks to all our customers who have supported us the last 23 years and those who supported my Mam and Dad the 31 years before.
It was an emotional mom...ent last night as I reminded my Mam that it would have been her that took the till readings on their first day of trade back in October 1962 and she also took the final till reading last night and locked the door for the last time.
If my Dad was still here today I’m sure he would have approved of the decision to close but it was a hard decision as the shop has been a large part of our lives for so long.
So a big thank you to all our customers from Sheila myself and Charlotte and we wish you all the best for the future !

Well banging evening with the half price sale there’s been a lot of happy people walk out of here tonight and a lot of stock gone.
Tomorrow evening may be our last if we have as many in as we did tonight. If not we will stretch till Sunday night.
... There’s some spirits left but not a lot.. full bottles of Pernod going for £8.. Tia Maria £8... archers peach schnapps £5.. galliano.. £8... ouzo £10... curacao, creme de month, casis.. all £6. A few flavoured gins and some sherry.
If it’s wine you want there’s a lot of red and rose left including higher end Bordeaux’s, rioja’s and reserves. Plus many wines like hardys, yellow tails, gallos etc going for £3 a bottle.
Flavoured ciders going for £1 a bottle plus bottled beers at .90p a bottle.
There is more but not in large quantities.
So with tomorrow or Sunday being the last chance come in after 6 pm

Hi ! As you know we are closing and with the discounts we have been giving the stock has gone down well, however I am keen to wrap this up quickly now so I will offer a minimum of 20% off everything that’s left and for larger orders I will give bigger discounts.

Hi everyone, we have been a family business since 1962 which I have run since 1996. It’s been a hard decision to make but I have decided to close the business. This decision hasn’t been an easy one and is mostly based on the lack of time I have spent with my wife and 6 young children. I will stay in the booze business and have created an on-line off licence offering delivery’s direct on a next day service going live next January. For now we won’t be replacing any stock with ...a view to selling out in 4 to 6 weeks, with many clearance offers starting next week, il keep you posted on here. Many thanks to our customers who have supported Sheilas over the years it will be interesting to see what the shop becomes in the future but for now we are up for sale or lease.
