Last years snow on Bwncath. How long will it be till the next blanket covering?

We've stayed at Gwdy Hw several times now and are longing to return - it's my idea of heaven. We sat at dusk in a wildflower meadow with prosecco, chips and perfect perfect silence, other than the hooting of an owl and the bleat of distant sheep. All the world and all our stresses felt far away. Heaven.

We stayed in Barcud during storm Brian!! Even then we were toasty and as snug as bugs in these truly beautiful little huts.If you are even remotely interested....just do it!!!!

We can't wait to go again-thanks so much Jane.

We had the most amazing weekend. We had the field to ourselves and it was total tranquility. The hut is very comfortable with all you could possibly need. We enjoyed a lovely BBQ on our first night whilst watching the sun set. A perfect place to ground and relax and charge those batteries. Highly recommend .

Stayed here for my wife's birthday. Amazing views and well thought out by the friendly hosts. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get away from busy life and recharge the batteries

Really lovely place to stay, cosy and really comfortable. Jane is an excellent hostess and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful views and nothing but birdsong and countryside. Wood stove really toasty, hot showers, lovely facilities - would definitely stay again

Last summer, my husband and I and our little dog Leia spent a fantastic few days in one of the Shepherds Huts. They are gorgeously decorated and the setting is idyllic. Perfect for a quiet getaway. I highly recommend it!

User

Just returned from the most relaxing weekend ever in our Shepherds Hut. Everything was perfect, so nice to take a few days away from the hustle of every day life. Jane was a lovely host, friendly and helpful, she welcomed us with open arms. Will be back again for sure.

It was the most peaceful break we have had in a very long time. My husband and myself stayed in Bwncath (Welsh for Buzzard) and had some well earned quality time together which is impossible at home surrounded by teenagers, grandchildren and my elderly father to take care of so this was a wonderful experience. Warm, very clean and good facilities. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. I would and hope very much to return.

If you're looking for a perfect, quiet and secluded getaway, then look no further. We've stayed in both Gwdi Hw and Barcud and both are wonderful retreats. Jane has thought of everything, down to Marshmallows for toasting on the fire and the all important ice bucket for the Champagne! The huts are so quiet all we could hear were sheep and the bats flapping overhead, a truly magical experience. We can't wait to come back and try out the bat detectors!

We leave each time revived and refreshed and looking forward to our next visit.

Had the whole field to myself. The most tranquil, sunny and relaxed time was had. Plenty to do, lots of blankets to be sighed over. Just loved it.

User

Fabulous, could have stayed longer. A real break from the world, so peaceful, l just the sounds of sheep, cows and birds. Saw 19 red kites soaring together in the sky above us. Jane was very welcoming and the home made damson gin was appreciated.

User

Can highly recommend this. We have just had a lovely relaxing overnight stay. The shepherd hut is lovely and warm with the stove and is furnished beautifully. Jane made us feel very welcome . Thank you again and we will be back xx
