I find it so strange how so many people are giving this place a 4 star. You clearly have no taste buds or havent been to a good Indian restaurant out of this area. My friends and i went to Sima Tandoori Saturday gone as we were hungry and getting ready to climb Snowdon in the morning. We waited over 40mins as the place was very busy. Thought this place had to be good as the wait was so long. So when we finally got a seat we were met by a waitress who took our drink orders. Only 4 simple drinks to remember but she forgot to bring them over. 20 mins later another waiter came over and asked if we ordered. We said yes and we were still waiting for our drinks. As he dealt with it i asked for 4 straws ......another 10 mins. So now the orders for our food. 4 completely different curries ordered, all the curries tasted the same. No seasoning and very watery. The only thing that tasted nice was the salt on the table. This was an absolute disaster. This place does so well yet the decor is so dated and the space is a joke. The tables must have been from some school kitchen. No napkins or table cloths. When i asked to see the manager i was told he is cooking in the kitchen as the cheff is on holiday!!! So who is actually managing this place? Seriously people pay for this kind of service...wow should come down to London for a day and try some of the restaurants here.
Very disappointed in this place.

The curry seemed like it was washed down by a hosepipe. It comes out as runny as it goes into your mouth. A very upset stomach from the lamb korma. Will not be ordering food from here again.

Went here whilst on holiday at Haven. It's 20 minutes drive and you can park outside. Unassuming exterior and simple interior.

Really good food and service. Generous portions and when I asked for something to be made vindaloo hot and without the peppers - that's exactly how i got it.

Lovely crisp light naan breads - amongst the best I've had. Tasty rich sauces and lots of meat in the curries.

Surprisingly excellent!!!!

Really good food, reasonable prices and they have an excellent range of vegetarian options too. We were pleasantly surprised to find such good quality from the Indian subcontinent in this small Welsh town. We would definitely recommend eating here.

Made chicken tandoori with left over coconut flavour korma sauce and coloured it orange thinking we would not notice, oh dear !!

Clean place. only reason people eat the food here must be because it is a small place. the korma chicken is terrible. Glasses of korma sauce in the store tastes more.

Food was good. Much better than I expected as it does look a little drab outside with its dodgy LED faux neon sign. A varied menu - myself and 4 other friends ordered from across the menu and everything came promptly.

Everyone enjoyed their choices and I chose a vindaloo. Yes - of course it was hot but it also had lots of flavour which is often lacking in the hot curries.

I shall frequent again should I find myself back in Porthmadog.
