Wow ! Where do I start ?



Arrived at Slieve Donard Resort and Spa for a relaxing birthday, all about me - That's exactly what I got! From the moment I set foot in the hotel , I was greeted with a warm welcome from the spa staff who kindly escorted me up the stairs to the spa itself , where I met my beauty therapist looked after me impeccabley for the whole treatment. Whilst receiving my treatment Andrea just oozed professionalism, completely in tune with what she does, knowledgeable and had the ability to give me enough information for me to make an informed choice whilst receiving my treatment. That's what makes excellent customer service!! I felt completely relaxed , she pulled out all the stops trying to cater to my holistic needs she asked me if I wanted the lighting changed in colour or if I wanted the music louder or lower. It really is little things like this which made it much better for my me day. The treatment room itself is beautiful , with modern furniture and adjustable lights also a shower. The spa facilities are beautiful themselves overlooking the panoramic views of both the shore line and the Slieve Donard mountain tops.



The à la carte menu in the Oak Restraunt which is designed by head chef, Hazel Magill is absolutely stunning and screams sofistication and opulence. You can just tell by looking at menu that the head chef has alot of experience in the kitchen. I was not dissapointed, starter to main course ( I didn't get a dessert, I was so full). The presentation itself of the food was both of elegance and style with alot of summer colour to make it pop. It was truly appealing to the eye and a delight on the palate. Just gorgeous. The staff didn't once let my glass run empty , which was great and the staff were very pleasant indeed and very helpful.



The pianist who plays alot of modern songs in the Oak Restraunt, is both relaxing and refreshing to the ear watching the sunset whilst eating.



I cannot recommend Slieve Donard Resort and Spa enough , I will definitely be back !

We had our wedding at Slieve Donard Resort and Spa on Saturday 17th March and we are so so glad we picked your venue!!! Apart from the obviously amazing views and perfect places for our pictures to be taken, It was the people that work here that made our day run smoothly. A �massive� thank you to Eugene Rooney who couldn't do enough for us on the day and especially the run up to the wedding! A few wee special things we would have loved to have on our wedding day and Eugene, You made this happen! We will be forever grateful! You have definitely got future guests for the resort as our whole wedding party want to book to stay after receiving such wonderful hospitality from staff and the food was beautiful (We were told by a lot of guests it was the best food they had at a wedding and having a choice was appreciated by a lot also) if you are looking for a venue for your wedding, look no further. Even the bad weather didn't ruin this resort. It is perfect �

We had our wedding and reception here on Sunday 18th March 2018. We had an amazing day and I have to say Kevin is an absolute legend! From the second we got there till we checked out he ensured everything in his power was perfect. A few little hiccups but once Kevin found out these were taken care of immediately.

We had a lovely mid week break in the resort and spa. My room was well maintained, spacious, warm and bright and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. We had two evening meals In the hotel and the choices were excellent. The food was fresh, warm and delicious. We have stayed in the hotel a few times now and will continue to visit and stay in the hotel.

Thank you to all the staff at the slieve donard for looking after us, it was perfect from check in to check out. The food was amazing all credit to the chef hazel. I will definitely be back to this hotel the rooms were lovely and clean.

My wife and I attended a friends wedding at the Slieve Donard on Friday. From the moment we went through the gates, with the views, the grandeur of the surroundings and in particular the welcome at the doors and reception, this place really excels. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The wedding meal, ambience and staff were of the highest quality. (Congrats Eugene and co) Well done to all. Hoping to be back on the future

Just had 2 wonderful days here with my other half (actually still relaxing in the spa as l write this). I have to say that we have enjoyed every minute from our arrival to our imminent departure shortly. Such pleasant friendly & down to earth staff & such a relaxed atmosphere. Add in the beautiful surroundings & an amazing period building & you have an idyllic breakaway. The food was amazing (the most fantastic pork belly i've ever eaten)& the buffet breakfast extensive & tasty - all in all a great place to escape for a couple of days & at a pretty reasonable price too - will certainly be back soon

Just finished a conference here and what a fabulous experience it was. Location and weather were just perfect. Staff are all super lovely and very very helpful. Beds are really comfy, spa is fabulous. Nora was brilliant in helping to organise everything for us and i enjoyed every moment. i would love to go back again, and next time i might bring my family and climb some of the mourne mountains!

I stayed here last night as a gift for my 30th birthday. It was amazing. Unfortunately due to my other half's work pattern we weren't arriving until late and didn't get to use the pool etc but the staff, service and accommodation were perfect! Will definitely return!

Had an amazing stay here with my boyfriend. Staff in the reception and spa were friendly and helpful! The room was absolutely spotless, and beautiful with a lovely view of the sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were also lovely and the restaurant staff were very quick to serve us and courteous. Brilliant live music in the bar area to finish the evening.

Would definitely want to go back again.

Only recommendation would be more loungers/seats in the pool area.

Five star best hotel me and my partner have been to I would highly recommend it felt very welcome not one member of staff will pass you without saying hello it's the Small Things That Matter was can't wait until our next visit..

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and great views. On arriving at first we got one of the rooms which must been the smallest room and awful view asked was it possible if we could move rooms even if it cost a bit extra for a nicer view, the receptionist was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us moving us to a stunning room!! Spa was very relaxing and the breakfast the next morning was very tasty! Great how local it is to the Main Street also. Can't wait for our next visit !!

My daughter & I went to the spa yesterday it was a lovely Christmas present for me and it was a very enjoyable morning we had our treatments first which was very very good the therapist was lovely & very experienced at her job we then went to the jacuzzi looking out over the mourne mountains then the steam room & finally the sauna it was amazing !! After all that it was time for the relaxation room with plenty of fruit flavoured water or tea . We had lunch booked for 1.30pm so after a great morning we finished off with a delicious lunch .

My friend and I were booked in for the spa tisseri, while waiting on our treatments I was taking first my friend waited 10 mins until she was taken but was out before me in the relaxation room? her therapist had told lyndsey she was running 10mins behind as last client was late? Surly that’s not Lyndsey’s fault???

Left relaxation room not knowing we’re to go went to get changed and seen a sauna etc and then a jacuzzi? No one showed us these? But seen others being shown them? We expected use off the pool but no idea were it was? So got changed went for afternoon tea which wasn’t till 2? Wen I booked spa tisseri no one told me afternoon tea was only served from 2 so we had to wait on it? Drinks in the bar are ridiculously priced!

While in for afternoon tea a young girl showed us to our table, we sat there till 2.30 til our afternoon tea came? Which a young fella brought, who asked did we want a top up of tea or coffee? We hadn’t even been offered tea or coffee? which he apologised for? Noticed others had received a tartlet with Salad we did not get this?

Also everyone else was told to luk around the tea table at different teas? We weren’t told that? We said to the other fella on way out which he apologised for explaining the young girl had been told off a couple of times and he had sent her home, but then thats not our problem as we paid £115 each for not great treatment! Also spa needs a gud clean, dust everywhere! Sent them a message through messenger which they Ave read but no reply!

Had Sunday lunch in The Percy French restaurant 2 weeks ago. Firstly we were told there were no tables available in the restaurant and we would have to eat in the bar. We could see that tables were empty and were still empty when we left.

The service was mediocre at best.

The food was cold in places and obviously had been reheated in a microwave.

Wouldn't rush back.

Was at Percy French restaurant for meal, was worst meal ive ever had, when I said to waitress she said sorry and walked off, no interest what so ever, phoned up to report it and sorry to say got another person with no interest, would need customer service training ASAP

I was so annoyed I loved this hotel could not wait yesterday going 4 something to eat in it only to have had the worst meal I have ever had we walked around the hotel which was lovely we went into the light house restaurant and we asked what is ther with no peppers on it that My parter was Allergic to them ther was only 2 things without peppers he got a steak sandwich and I got a soup and a scone the soup was lovely the scone came out with Blue mole in it the steak sandwich came out full of peppers so when we send it back the chef came out and stared at us and I mean stared at us a girl had came down and told us she was sorry and that the did not know it was that kind of peppers we wher on about I told her we made it very clear not peppers or spices in his food we travel up ther hour and half to go to this hotel only to have the worst time ever we got up and left because we felt so uncomfortable with the chef and we had to get up and get are own knife and fork
