Lovely seaside pub with loads of charm. Friendly staff and great food.

Great, well kept ale. Food was good too, if a little pricey

The Sloop? More like the slop! Fresh fish and shellfish? My arse. Fresh 'local' crab claws had been frozen and were watery, probably Scottish frozen crab from Tesco. Overheard barman telling some regulars to steer clear of chowder. Chips were cheap frozen. Cheap food if that's what you want. Bar staff quite smarmy. Go to The Shed, instead.

It used to be great, the best pub/restaurant in the area. However we visited yesterday.. booked a table for 5.30 as we were told they were serving food all day. Was told upon arrival they wouldn't be serving food until 6. When we asked to see a menu to get our order in as we had young children, the barman gave me one but mumbled that they would be on the tables at 6. (So why book our table at 5.30?) Barman was rude, very poor customer service. One of our group had the sausages and mash, sausages were badly cooked, pale in colour and the mash microwaved. Half of the moules portion had not opened while cooking. And whoever cooked them had smashed some open! I'm not sure there was a chef there.
Try the Shed.

Very friendly staff. Food fantastic, I had the fish pie which was full of different fish and a lovely cheesy topping. Went again the next night as so delicious. Desserts were good too.

Visited this pub many times now and never fails on service. good food good drink near the sea and coastal path. Does get busy

Wonderful friendly pubs and restaurant. Lovely staff. Great beer and food. The sea is near to pub and good place outside for children to play.
