Small snowfalls are turning the Alps whiter and Silvretta Montafon has posted the biggest accumulation of the last 72 hours, nearly 15cm a day to a total of 40cm. It's looking like it will get colder and snowier at the end of the week too.

Zermatt Matterhorn report over 200km of slopes are open this weekend in their shared area with Cervinia Valtournenche - Ski Paradise (207km to be exact)
Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado had more than 2.5 metres of snowfall in the autumn, the most by December 1st since winter 2010-11 (when it received more than 12 metres by the spring). Peak 7 has opened this weekend taking the terrain already open past 1,700 acres.
New Zealand's Cardrona Alpine Resort, NZ has opened a snow fun area with terrain park features and beginner ski area for the first day of the southern hemisphere's summer after an unseasonal snowstorm last week.
