We recently had our small wedding reception here on a very wet and blustery March afternoon. Jessica looked after our booking and was amazing from start to finish! Jessica and her team made us feel so welcome and the table was located in the window where we requested and was decorated perfectly just right for our small gathering. We had prosecco and orange juice on arrival and the swrvice throughout was very well organised proffessional and friendly! The food was lush the buttermilk chicken, fish and chips, lamb, pea and avovado bruscetta and chocolate fondant were firm favourites. Such an amazing location to watch the weather roll in over the beach, we have had several meals, coffee and drinks here and everytime has been a great experience, very child/family friendly too! Will be back soon. Thanks to all the team, from Mr&Mrs George and family xx

Just been for a meal here with my partner and our 15 month old son (who is addicted to throwing anything and everything on the floor) they made us feel so at ease and welcome and reassured me not to worry about any Mess they provided our son with crayons and his own special plate and bowl and then kept coming over to ensure he (and us) were alright... food was delicious and our son had a ball! Thanks for taking the time to chop him some grapes and strawberries up I really Can’t thank you enough for your warm welcome and for giving our son your attention when there are a lot of places that wouldn’t! Thank you once again can’t recommend enough!

Had dinner there last night. A quiet Wednesday evening and I was dining alone. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Felt very at ease. Ambiance first class, the location - right on the beach and view over to Caldy - amazing. I had the dish of the day - hake, beans, spinach - - just delightful. Great to be able to watch it cooked and talk to the chef. Will certainly be back

Came with my friends from Yorkshire and what a great impression you’ve given us of high class dining, hat off to the chef and his team from the beautiful presentation of the food and it was just delicious, don’t mind paying a bit more when it’s an stunning as it was, staff was very polite and down to earth especially the dark haired bar lady who recommended our drinks, keep up the good work guys it was the highlight of our trip x

Nice wine great position - been here loads of times but there is always an unacceptable wait for service - the staff are good but there are not enough of them - while I was waiting today 4 people left fed up of waiting. .... employ more staff serve more people !!!

Lovely setting, beautiful views of the beach & sea. The food was nice but the service was shocking. We waited 20mins just to order some drinks, another 10mins for them to arrive! I had to get up and ask for a children’s menu after already asking twice. The majority of staff run around like headless chickens. Such a shame for such a nice restaurant.

Amazing setting, great atmosphere, great for dogs.... my boys had steak and said it was very good however my dish was disappointing, ordered asparagus risotto no asparagus arrived , rice itself was gloopy, my daughter ordered muscles, they were very tiny and sandy ..... ordered bread and oil to be informed no bread left, service was clumsy, waitress knocked over cocktail straight into my scallop starter , shame as could had been an amazing restaurant

We headed here for a "date night" while grandparents babysat for us.

We've eaten here before in the off season and had good food and service.



The restaurant is nicely decorated and the view is stunning.



The food we ordered was tasty and well presented.



Unfortunately the staff let the whole experience down.



When we arrived it wasn't made clear that we should find our own table, so we were stood by the door for a while despite a member of staff welcoming us and showing us the menu. We had to ask if we should sit ourselves.



It took almost 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, but our waitress and another were doubling up on serving the same tables and so both asked us and neighbouring tables for their orders. Neither one knew which table had been seated first and therefore who's order should be taken first.



We ordered a beer, mocktail and glass of water. Water and beer arrived but no mocktail. We had to ask for it and the waitress was very confused, even though the order bill had the three drinks and she only had two on her tray. The mocktail showed up 10 minutes later.



We sat inside by the window and watched in amazement when outside tables weren't cleared by staff, but by the local wildlife instead.

3 guls and 5 pigeons did a stellar job of clearing leftover burgers, chicken, pizza and chips off several tables. Dive-bombing other customers as they went about their job.

Staff made no attempt to clear the birds or tables to stop the mess and unsanitary clean up. Tables also weren't cleaned once they were clear, the guls left their large webby prints all over the glass tables.



We hadn't finished our starters when mains arrived at the table. No apology or recognition from the waiting staff.



A glass of Malbec was ordered at this point, we had to explain it was red and not white wine.



Half way through the mains a glass of white arrived at the table. We explained which wine it should have been, staff looked confused and took it away. We didn't receive a glass of red, despite asking for it.



We ordered dessert in the hope that the experience could still be recovered. As dessert arrived, our bill came with it. We hadn't asked for it, we were still eating.

The same happened to the other tables around us.



The missing glass of wine was on our bill so we asked for it to be removed. The bill was taken away and presented back to us 25 minutes later after asking for it several times. The wine had been removed.



It then took a further 15 minutes for the card machine to appear. The waitress promised twice to bring it over, she only did so when she had her handbag on her shoulder and car keys in her hand.



We were going to raise all of these issues with a manager, but no-one knew what they were doing and we just wanted to get home.



I don't think I've ever left a review anywhere like this, but I really can't turn this one into a positive, so 2 stars it is (and they were for the food alone).

Such a shame as the location is fantastic but the service was a shambles. It didn’t even seem that busy so it wasn’t acceptable. Lots of people around me were complaining and frustrated also. Went to the bar to attempt to order too and was told they offer table service so couldn’t take my order at the bar. Seemed a bit daft to me as I’m sure many people would have preferred to go to the bar and actually get a beverage. Disappointed.

This place is losing so much money and returning customers due to rude staff and total disorganisation! We arrived at 2.30 on Saturday to meet some friends. Friends had already ordered and were eating. We went to order food and were told they weren't taking any more orders due to a change of shift in the kitchen. At 2.30pm on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! We stayed for a drink but even that was a problem for them. The table service was so slow. One of our group also witnessed an argument between staff ending in tears. Will never return.

You would think that a venue literally on the doorstep to the beach front would be amazing. How wrong we were unfortunately.



We were part of a large party that had pre-booked tables. We had planned to only have “drinks and snacks” but the party were told that this wasn’t possible as those who wanted to eat had to select food from the main menu. Ok no problem. However, when it came to ordering food the waitress serving was very rude and abrasive and told me she would not take my order as there was an hours wait on food and she would be back in 15 minutes.



I spoke with the manager of this establishment who stated they were not expecting our large group to eat off the main menu as we were meant to be there for drinks and snacks only. So my question is why did they not allow us to have drinks and snacks and asked us instead to order from the main menu? I was also told by the manager that on top of this they wanted to ensure that the children of our party got served food. I explained that unfortunately my 2 year old daughter was refused food due to the above rude and abrasive staff member.



All in all if your looking for a place to eat there’s a small shack just up around the corner that has pleasant staff and great food. It also looks like they receive unhappy customers from the South Beach Bar Grill as I heard a few talking to staff about the appalling service and attitudes of staff.



Also if your ordering drinks, this establishment takes your money/ gives you the bill before serving drinks to your party.



Will not be visiting again.

Went here last Saturday for food with friends who had travelled from Nottingham to experience Tenby and south beach appalling we got told there was room and a table for food and we had to find a table outside so we sat down.. a member of staff come over to tell us they weren’t serving food but were happy to take drinks orders!! After explaining the guy on the door said food was being served the member of staff wandered off to see what was happening upon returning he said they can do some dishes on the menu and spooled off a long list of things they couldn’t cook as the over was broke.. total lack of communication with staff and customers proper let down had a pukka meal in the premiere inn in the centre �

Told there was no service at the bar, had to sit and wait. Sat for 15 minutes waiting for table service that never came. Everyone around us got served, totally blanked. Shite service. Don’t bother.

The views, location and atmosphere promised so much... but we had a terrible meal... we waited 55minutes for food only then to be told that our order had been lost and would be another 60mins as the kitchen was now busy. When the food did eventually arrive the order was incomplete, didn’t come as a staggered order of starters and mains and the cucumber for our kids vegetable dipping sticks was mushy and had white mould on it. We skipped desert and refused to pay for the food. Such a shame because the fit out and location offered so much.

The setting of the south beach bar & grill is amazing! But the service is the polar opposite, it is right on our doorstep and would be the perfect setting for a meal or drink. But the chance of getting served for either is impossible!! This is not due to how busy it is but the lack of staff and quality of service! I have been turned away once when the place was empty and also I have walked out following a 20min wait to order a drink & when I went to the bar I was told the barman had too many drinks to do & I could not place my order (again the restaurant was not busy by any means!)



This is a potential gold mine going to waste!

Please please make some changes and we will be back

We ordered our food then 20 minutes later we were told all my husbands choices were not available as the fish man hadn't been, abit concerning as all my order was fish but apparently there wasn't a problem with my order. Hate to think where my fish was coming from!! My husband re order only to be told the didn't have any of those items either this was after a further 10 minute wait by this point we were feed up and still hadn't been served our drinks. So we said thank you but no thank you and left. Will never go back!!
