Gorgeous food and very attentive staff!

Great food but felt hurried, plates whisked away a bit quick.

Moored up on our Narrowboat and popped into Llanfoist looking for something to eat. What a gem. Food was devine, service impeccable and only a 5 min walk from Tod's bridge & the Llanfoist Wharf!

This was our first visit to the spice lounge and we wanted it to be nice because we choose it for our Father's Day meal...... how I wish we hadn't... we booked our table for 7.30, when we arrived we had to wait because it was full.... after waiting we were shown upstairs to a very cramped dining room ( you could actually here the conversations of the guests next to us) and to our table, behind mine was a bucket catching drops of water from a leaking air conditioning unit, so I had even limited space... it was advertised as an ALL You could eat buffet,(please can I also point out that the price advertised on the front of the menus is different to the price you pay) need to be updated I think!!!! It turned out the way it works is you are given popodoms and pickle tray (which was the best part of the whole meal) a set starter ( of which I had no clue what was on there because it wasn't explained to us) any curry off the menu, selection of bread rice and chips and deserts from the table..... at no point was we offered any more so how is this an all you can eat BUFFET??????? The wait between courses was so long..... the food was edible but that is all I can say, the drinks were served warm, and the desserts......... well the scraps that were left were a joke!!!! At this point I had to leave the restaurant(which I have never found the need to do before) and my husband paid the bill...... when we entered the restaurant there was a huge poster displaying "free pint for fathers on Father's Day" no surprise he never got one .......

Visited yesterday evening for first time & was accommodated on a late booking. Phoned at 1855 to get a table for 1930.
It was busy, & everyone were being dealt with quickly & efficiently.
Menu choice excellent & when we were eventually escorted to our table you were made to feel welcome & nothing was too much trouble.
Food didn't disappoint & my 9 year old said it was the best Indian restaurant experience he'd had. We never felt rushed & the waiters were discrete & attentive. To top it off they bagged up any leftovers (there was quite a bit) for us to take home - which seemed to be the norm on most tables.
Can't wait to go back & try more of the menu. Definitely moved to the top of my go to list!

Just had the Christmas Menu. Great Induan cuisine, well presented. Amazing choice and great value. Staff are friendly.

Three months ago we decided to visit the spice lounge to get a take away. After waiting for TWO hours, we were finally brought our food with NO explanation for the ridiculously long wait from the manager who skulked off trying not to be noticed!

The long awaited food was awful and unrecognisable! I ordered my favourite Indian dish of chicken and spinach balti and it was slimy, Luke warm with no hint of spinach in sight.

NEVER AGAIN will I visit this establishment!

Highly recommended, fantastic service, hot tasty food, great choice.. lovely staff, made very welcome.
