As I’m sure you’ve all heard, it’s the end of pub life as we know it for the time being. We’d like to thank everyone for their support, and assure you we will be back to normal as soon as matters permit.
In the mean time, we will be open during the day time on weekends only, serving a full range of TAKEAWAY hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals. We hope to continue with this only whilst we are in the 'Social Distancing' stage. If and when guidelines tighten further, we will c...lose until they lighten again.
Whilst we are open, we may also be able to supply basic provisions like bread, milk, eggs, bacon and loo rolls 😀

WE ARE OPEN! - PLEASE SHARE... 🙂
We would like to advise customers that despite the government's advice yesterday to to avoid bars and restaurants, we are to remain open for the time being.
Apart from the financial need to stay open and to support our staff and their families, Pembrokeshire still has only two confirmed cases and we are way behind the spread of the virus in London and the surrounding areas. Additionally, we have a large, airy room, the pub is rarely crowded a...t this time of year during off peak times - and will be even less so given that people have been advised to increase their social distancing.
We would also like to reassure you that we had already ramped up our excellent hygiene practices and are scrupulously following any additional hygiene advice.
We would like to thank you all for your recent support and wish you all the best during these very challenging times. Please take care of yourselves and we look forward to seeing you if you feel comfortable visiting us. 🙂

💚💚💚 FREE DRINKS AT ST. GOVAN'S INN FOR BEACH CLEANERS!! 💚💚💚
You may be aware there was a recent food container spillage in the sea, detrimentally affecting beaches from Freshwater East, round to Nolton Haven.
... We went down to Fresh West yesterday and were horrified to see the state on the tide line, not just from the container spillage (which is mainly rice-cake wrappers and apples) but from the mess churned up by the rough tides. There is a load of general plastic and bits of netting and ropes - all the typical stuff that is shown in the pictures of dead and injured marine life.
We managed to get one bin bag full in about an hour on just a few square metres of beach. But it really was the tip of the iceberg. It looks fine from a distance, but when you get right up to the seaweed tideline, you can see it's teeming with plastic and nylon. Most of the spilled rice cake wrappers have broken up and blown into the edge of the dunes.
We really need to get this off the beach and prevent it going back into the sea to injure animals. The council are meant to be dealing with the container spill but there is still huge amount of pre-existing detritus to deal with.
We would like to really help with this clean-up, so are offering a FREE DRINK FOR BEACH CLEANERS for every bin bag or equivalent of beach plastic brought to the pub. It can be from Freshwater West or any nearby beach. The area affected by the spillage on Fresh West is highlighted below.
We will dispose of the waste for you and you can claim a free pint, glass of wine, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Feel free to take a selfie at the pub with your rubbish and free drink and upload to this thread! And please SHARE to help get someone else filling a bag.
