Stagecoach Performing Arts Carmarthen Description

Stagecoach Carmarthen believes in promoting confidence in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. Taking classes in singing, dance and drama has been proven to build a child's self-esteem. We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes; allowing each child to develop at their own pace with the support of the group. Students across Carmarthenshire attend our classes weekly and we are delighted to offer our students a high standard of teaching as well as excellent opportunities. Each year all our students have the opportunity to be part of a full musical production at the local theatre. We've had the privilege of watching hundreds of children grow in confidence and ability. As part of the UK's largest network of performing arts schools, Stagecoach Carmarthen is more than just a theatre school, we are a nurturing, safe place for children to grow and build on all aspects of life skills.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

Popped in to watch some of our older Stage 3 (15-17years) PM school in singing!
Beautiful singing!
Tell Me on a Sunday is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black. A one-woman show, it has been performed by a number of female singers/actors, most notably Marti Webb. A one-act song cycle, it tells the story of an ordinary English girl from Muswell Hill, who journeys to the United States in search of love. Her romantic misadventures begin in New York... City, lead her to Hollywood, and eventually take her back to Manhattan. . . . . #poem #drama #devising #youdecide #staging #projection #clarity #stagecoachperformingarts #stageschool #theatreschool #theatrekids #drama #musicaltheatre #sing #dance #act #perform #tellmeonasunday #carmarthen #carmarthenshire #haverfordwest #pembrokeshire #wales #westwales

During some of our HO events an independent reviewer comes in to watch the dress rehearsal and assess the performance. We were lucky to receive a review of our performance at St David’s Hall Cardiff and we couldn’t be happier. We knew that the children performed amazingly on the day but to have such lovely feedback on our performance from an independent reviewer is fantastic! Well done everyone, you did amazing!
Stagecoach Theatre Arts Live in Cardiff Sunday 2nd June 2019
... School Carmarthen & Haverfordwest Principal Laura Morris Brief description of act Tomorrow is a new day! Tonight we are performing an Annie Medley. These young performers have shown exceptional commitment and enthusiasm to the performance and have put their hearts and souls into their rehearsal time.
Points to particularly celebrate from today’s performance: * It was a convincing fight scene. * Well done on trying the American accents. Many of you pulled this off really well. * Annie solo – Maybe – well done. The pitch well picked up right from the start. * Hard Knock Life – props and acrobats – very impressive. * Miss Hannigan – good to hear you trying vibrato on some of the lyrics. * Never Fully Dressed – great to hear the singing carry on well with the choreography too. Lots of variety in the choreography and you showed a good sense of timing. * What a brilliant closing sequence and freeze frame.
In relation to the Stagecoach Educational Framework, it was particularly great to see you using and taking responsibility for the props as an integral part of the performance.
General comments Congratulations and thank you to the students from Stagecoach Carmarthen & Haverfordwest for your performance at Stagecoach Live in Cardiff.

Congratulations to Joshua. He has successfully auditioned for Stagecoach’s Summer Showcase. Joshua will spend two weeks in London rehearsing for this years musical which is “The Sound Of Music”.
Joshua has also landed the role of Herr Zeller.
Herr Zeller, the head of the local Nazi organization, is probably the least likeable character in the whole film—he even has the bad guy pencil mustache to go with his nasty attitude. He's written almost as a caricature of the superior,... heartless, power-mad, mindless Nazi robot. His primary role in the story is to harass and threaten Captain von Trapp and his family about the need to cooperate with the Nazis as they become the ruling power in Austria.
Zeller can't stand it when he attends a ball at Captain von Trapp's and sees the Austrian flag prominently displayed. He mocks the captain's refusal to admit that Austria is about to become part of Germany. Then, after the Anschluss (or annexation) has indeed occurred as predicted, Zeller takes it upon himself to hang the Nazi flag outside the captain's house while Georg and Maria are on their honeymoon.
Joshua will play this part brilliantly, the part was made for you!
A fantastic achievement Joshua and we are all so proud of you! . . . . #sing #dance #act #perform #buildconfidence #opendoors #summer #showcase 😀#london #rosetheatre #stageschool #theatreschool #theatrekids #thesoundofmusic #musicals #herrzeller #stagecoachperformingarts #carmarthen #carmarthenshire #haverfordwest #pembrokeshire #wales #westwales
