Walked in and was met with a loong queue. My friend queued and I popped to the loo. This smelt bad, needed a clean. Washed hands in a sink that i could hardly fit my one hand into.A barbie doll would have difficulty getting wet in it. The pathetic hand dryer is mounted so low on the wall i felt if i needed to kneel on the floor to use it. But I thought better of it as i didnt want smelly knees and just bend down. BTW, im 5ft3.
Rejoined my friend in queue to be met by a barrage of 8 staff who were wearing really awful christmas jumpers. (Really? Its 2nd November. How tacky) Couldnt read the menu boards because of the glare of the badly positioned lighting. Hey all these coffee shops have different names for large, medium and small, depending on which one you go to.
Asked for a large latte and another the next size down in between the cashier preening his hair. Cost me £7. Alot more expensive than others. Didnt get a reciept. Asked me my name Lisa. I watching the staff write LIS, then he paused, so i said, add an A. So he added an SA, preened his hair yet again and served the next person.
And now for the wait. Whilst the were 5 people awaiting their coffees and a large queue of 7 people snaking off towards the door, the 7 younger members of staff seemed to be running round like headless chickens.
I kid you not. This place can only seem to turn out 1 coffee every 2-3 minutes with 2 baristas on separate machines. Not making coffees in order, so that a guy 2 people back in the queue got his 3 before mine. My friend got hers with cream on top when she said no to cream. Took another 3 minutes to make another, then made another 5 coffees all before i got mine. Just shouted out, "latte". I almost had to go behind the counter and ask if it was for me. She seemed to scowl at me as if i was asking a silly question. All this right under the nose of (the older staff, i assumed the manager, who was laughing and chatting with another guy with a laptop bag who was trying to go to the back of the building. Assuming the area manager or his buddy)
So lets recap on this. We have 8 staff all rushing round seemingly not accomplishing anything as coffees come out of order and 2-3 minutes per coffee with 2 barristers all whilst the manager looks on doing nothing and possibly an area manager included.
My friend went to go to the loo and came back saying, "eww, im not going in there"
What an awful experience. took us 20 minutes to get 2 coffees. Plus I was charged for and given a large. I guess the hair preener didnt know what the next size down from large is.

Really fantastic service from one amazing member of staff Ffion. She is an awesome barista and knows my favourite coffee and exactly how I like it before I say a word. I wish the other staff were more like her, she is brilliant! I had my usual made by another member of staff when Ffion was busy and it was awful, such a shame as it was over £4.00 so not cheap. I don't think I'll bother going if Ffion is not making the drinks. She deserves a medal....thanks Ffion 😊

Paid nearly £10 for two drinks and a slice of stale cake. Was served by a rude and uninterested girl called Meg who didn't speak a word to me, she just took my order and walked off without saying it was done. Waited half an hour for our order while people who came 15 minutes after us had come and gone. Had to ask where my order was to be told it wasn't even passed on. One poor girl was doing everything while the other two were doing nothing. Disgusting customer service, highly over priced and untrained staff. Would rate 0 stars if it let me, not even worth the 1. Wouldn't return if someone paid me to.

Ok it's Saturday afternoon so it's busy...But your paying premium price for the Starbucks coffee and experience. You will not get that here. Staff clueless, the unit itself run down and scruffy. Lack of seating and design touches you expect. All in all the worst Starbucks I have ever been in. (It's a toss up between here and Asda cafe)

Lovely hot drinks. They have fab cakes. Serving a little slow.

Amazing! Great Sweet Treats! Amazing quality coffee! But could do with a price drop on some products.

A lovely quaint Starbucks although a little small which sometimes leaves you really wishing there were more seats in the winter.
