Stradey Heritage Description

Llanelli RFC 'Scarlets' Heritage Trail.

The Heritage Trail starts on the Penbryn roundabout at Llanelli link road.

The old Town end Stradey posts that bore witness to all the historic games, including the Roy Bergiers try against the All Blacks in the famous victory in 1972 are situated on the roundabout in view of people arriving and people leaving and is a permanent memory of the old ground.

The Second lot of posts (Pwll End) are situated in Sandy water park overlooking the old ground.
Included on site is a life size figure of the Great Phil Bennett side stepping Richie McCaw the NZ Captain.
Behind the post is a plaque in the shape of the the Referee's whistle.

Did Phil beat Richie McCaw ?
Did the Referee give a try ?
That is the theme.
