Incompetent. I took my XF to be serviced earlier in the year. Water was found in the bottom of the boot around the spare wheel. I was told that it had been dried out and no further action should be needed. A couple of weeks ago the car failed to start and it was diagnosed by the AA as water in the boot had made the electronics malfunction. A very quick Google search showed that this is a very common fault with XFs. Why was I not made aware of this at the time of the service? It has cost me £1200 to fix it. Obviously, the general public know a lot more about Jaguars than their own technicians.
After posting this review their reply suggested that I ring back to sort this out which I have just done. What a total waste of time! Just had a manager spinning party platitudes and no real help whatsoever.

Bought my new Jag last december. So far so good. First service coming up. Will review after that. Picture is the new E Pace.

Car went in for repair on speedo needle light which was flickering. Normally on most cars would be a bulb, they told me it needed a software update at a cost of £84 which would solve the problem. This was on the 23rd, phoned to say car was ready on the 24th, drive 200 yards after collecting and car was exactly the same. Returned car, needed complete new clocks at a cost of £936 so agreed to go ahead with the work. On 27th they phoned to say car was ready, collected car only to find warning light on saying smart key battery low, found out I could not lock any of the doors with either of the keys so back the car went back in. On the 30th they found the fault at a cost to myself of £280 bearing in mind there was no problem with this before it went it. Was due to have the car back on 31st only for them to say that the fault they thought it was didn’t fix it and they are still checking to find the fault, today is the 1st and still no wiser to finding out what is wrong. Car has been down there ten days, no offer of courtesy car, they are still taking more work on regardless that they still have not solved my issues. Only today they phoned to give me an update after I have been ringing them all the time. Also when I collected the car on the 24th, there was two large scratches on the bonnet of the car which was certainly not on there when I took the car in. Apparently they have repaired the scratches but I have not seen the car as yet. For such a large company I find the service quite appalling and would not recommend them at all. What made it worse, they wanted me to rebook the car in for a week later knowing I couldn’t lock the doors and parked on a main road, only when I made a fuss they kept the car there.

A wonderfull service from minuite we walked through the door. Every 1 we spoke with was pleasant. Help full . Advised me on a jag i was already driving . Young chap was a mind of info. Esspecially with us older generation .regarding the controls . Good profesional service to. And may i say tea and coffee in proper cups . And not happy shopper budget beverages . All perfect glen.

I had an awful experience with this garage. They lied to me and told me anything they could to get a sale, and then did not back up any of their promises. I would avoid them as they have proven to be entirely untrustworthy in their dealings with me.

As for this response, I have constantly been trying to get in touch and get the issues resolved, but was faced with more lies, and underhand actions that didn't resolve my problem.

Steer well clear of them.

Avoid at all costs!! Really bad experience - had my car twice to fix a leaking fluid washer bottle and couldn't solve the problem - taken now to my local garage and problem solved and fixed within 5 minutes. Left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Didn't clean my car after paying close to £500 for a new under tray, forgot to book a courtesy car resulting in further delays, unable to return calls when they are at fault and come across as arrogant in my opinion. No need for a customer services rep to respond to this review making out they can help as this has already been reached (a service team leader) and a letter will be sent to head office due to the bad experience and tarnished name of Jaguar. This review is also coming from someone who never complains and is relatively laid back not from someone who complains at every little thing. Be warned!!

Absolute brilliant service here at Stratstone Jaguar Cardiff. My journey began getting to Stratstone late on a Thursday after work where I was kindly greeted by staff. I was then put in the very capable hands of James Jefferis, who went out his was to make me feel comfortable and make the experience a very personal one. I am also sure he stayed later than his finishing time! With phone calls back and forth I had my new car ordered and delivered within a few weeks, much to my delight! James definitely went above and beyond what you would expect, even changing his planned day off to hand over my new car on a day that was more convenient for me, for which I was very grateful!! A true pleasure to share the excitement of getting my new f-type with such a great team. Thank you again James and Jaguar!
