Stratstone Land Rover Newport

A huge thanks to the guys at Stratstone LR, Newport. It would appear, after having my turbo replaced at a local garage, the correct commissioning process wasn't followed subsequently giving me a reduced engine performance message and no power. At very short notice, they took in my poorly, 10yr old Freelander 2 and worked through the issues I was having and gave it a clean bill of health. A couple of advisories (Unconnected with original fault) but nothing to worry about at the moment. I'm a very happy chappy :-)

I would not recommend entrusting this branch with your car, on several occasion I have had to return the car due to shoddy work, you constantly have to pester them to respond to you and most recently they failed to find a fault with the car however Cardiff did, they are useless to be blunt, steer clear, due their incompetence I now have an £1800 bill for a transmission repair.

As someone previously employed here I have first hand knowledge of the shady and underhanded tactics this garage uses when dealing with customers. Completely professional until money has changed hands and then will do anything possible to cut corners, not spend any money on your vehicle and even go so far as to water down the "AdBlue" emissions reducing chemical which is why so many customers call so regularly about their warning lights coming on far in advance of when they should.

Do not work with these people. They don't have your best interests at heart and will put absolutely no effort into maintaining a good relationship with you once they have your hard earned cash.

DO NOT TAKE A CAR TO THESE GUYS! guaranteed it will go in for something small & they will create jobs that don't exist. Tried to try it on with extra work on my car. Then listed out some basic work excluding one tyre replacement was over £900 quote. Took to a good independent garage same parts fitted £280. I went to pick up the car & heard another guy on the phone (oh we took your car for a test drive & also noticed all these other problems). These guys a con artists. Don't trust a word they say & do not use this garage. They sent me a vehicle check with all green lights. Checked over the parts & then a day later said one of the other technicians looked & noticed all these parts they listed as good were actually melted & broken. I wouldn't even entertain using Strathstone again.

Very good experience. I called in with a fault on the computer and I was seen straight away. All the staff were courteous and helpful.

Just pop into landrover newport just to see what selection of 4x4 they had good selection and nice staff to help

POOR!!! They don't deserve a star at all but I could rate without it. So good to hear that Frazer has been sacked that bloke is rude. The whole lot need sacking if you ask me, the experience I've had is appalling, once they take your money they don't want to know. Frazer promised work would be done on our freelander 2 befor collecting it but as others have experienced the work was not carried out. 8 months of having my car on and off and only this month having it back since it being with them from Oct 3rd 2016,I used it tonight and when I came out of the cinema the headlights were not working, and guess what it went in for? 6 months go headlights. They have poor workmanship, poor communication, very rude staff that hang up on you Yes PAUL EDWARDS. To everyone save yourselves the bother don't buy from Newport dealership

Appalled with the customer service is how I can only describe our experience on the second visit for a test drive @ Stratstone Newport. My partner was booked in to test drive a Range Rover Evoque @ 11am last week. He turned up at 10.50 to be told that Fraser was stuck in traffic in Bath. Fine, but why was he not informed as Fraser had my partners mobile no. We don't live far away so he went home and was told he would be contacted when Fraser arrived at site. 12.30 my partner still had not heard anything so he phoned and was told that Fraser was there but no one could find him, but he was assured someone would contact him ASAP. 2.30pm still nothing from Stratstone or Fraser so my partner went there to tell them exactly what he thought of their lack of communication. We will be buying a Range Rover Evoque but not from Stratstone. I had to give it 1star to enable me to post the review!!

Very please with customer service and friendliness of staff. I will be using this garage again :)

I had my Range Rover fixed at this garage. I am very happy with the customer service i received and the the rapid turn around time of my vehicle. Also for a main dealer the prices are very reasonable, even at a independent garage the repair was only £50 less! I would recommend this garage to anyone!

Well what can I say we went to stratstone Newport 2 weeks ago as we were looking at motorpoint which is close by stratstone but motorpoint were rubbish so we went into stratstone and had a look at an evoque and were greeted by Fraser who was so kind and helpful in fact helpful is an understatement he was brilliant gave us complimentary drinks so he took us out for a test drive in the evoque and Fraser came and he was amazing so when we got back to stratstone we said we we will have a think about it so in the next few days we went back over there placed our deposit and can't wait to pick up our Range Rover on the 23rd
