Casting Call: GUARDS for the upcoming Suitcase Theatre production of 'Hamlet' at Theatr Clwyd in Mold this November.
Non-speaking male parts so not much rehearsal time needed until very close to the production dates.
Ideally tall, well built and formidable.
... There are also some non-speaking female parts still to cast too.
If you or someone you know may be interested, please email mike38stevens@gmail.com. These would be a great opportunity for anyone who's fancied being on stage but isn't comfortable with going in at the deep end!

🎭 CASTING CALL 🎭
Suitcase are looking to cast 4 roles for our May production of David Hare's The Bay at Nice.
Performances: 23rd to 25th May, 2019.
... Set in a Art Museum in Leningrad during the reign of the Soviet Union in the 1950s, David Hare's The Bay at Nice explores the strained relationship between its two main characters; Valentina Nrovka and her daughter Sophia Yepileva.
Valentina is an ageing artist who, in 1920's Paris, studied under (and was possibly a lover of) the French artist Henri Matisse. Given her former relationship with the artist she has been asked by the state to confirm that a painting (The Bay at Nice) by the late Matisse, that has been granted to the state in a will, is indeed genuine. Sophia however meets her mother, Valentina in the art museum with the aim of securing her mother's support and money so that she can divorce her party husband Grigor, for a much older man, Peter Linitsky.
Valentina, who chose in the 1920's to act responsibly (in her eyes) in leaving her free-spirited artist's life in Paris, for a secure environment in the Soviet Union to raise her newly born daughter, now finds her daughters decision to divorce her party husband, plunging her own young children into to disarray to be reckless and irresponsible. Sophia on the other hand cannot understand why she must remain shackled to a constraining life that she hates and cannot instead seek to enjoy the freedom that her mother had in 1920s Paris. This conflict is the primary focus of the play, with authoritarian regime of the Soviet Union as the political backdrop of this emotional tussle between freedom and responsibility.
For more information on getting involved and to book an audition, please email robert.derry@suitcasetheatre.org.

CASTING CALL
Our friends at Grove Park Theatre in Wrexham are lo looking to cast 2 roles in their upcoming production of 'Entertaining Angels'.
Performances: 14th to 23rd February, 2019
... - -
As a clergy wife, Grace has spent a lifetime on her best behaviour. Now, following the death of her husband, Bardolph, she is enjoying the new-found freedom to do and say exactly as she pleases. The play is witty yet poignant, as we gradually learn more about the characters and their relationships.
Characters yet to cast (ages flexible):
· Jo - Grace’s daughter, early thirties, a psychotherapist. She is thoughtful and understanding and has inherited some of her mother’s wit.
· Sarah - early thirties, about to be the new priest-in-charge, replacing Bardolph. Warm and caring, yet lively and interesting, with secrets in her past.
