Summer Wine

Pete and Dave started playing together a few years ago, just for their own amusement, having got together through a mutual interest in classic cars. During 2016 they were joined by Mike, another classic car enthusiast. After a few months a few people got to hear about the “band” and early in 2017 we were asked to play at a couple of private parties in Usk. In preparation for these, Summer Wine was born with a view to follow these initial gigs with regular bookings in south east Wales. A few more private parties followed through the early summer before Ray joined the band on drums. Now fully formed and raring to go, the band are looking for bookings. Band members are aged around the late 50s to mid 60s and all have been playing in various bands since their early teens. The set lists are made up of classic rock, pop and blues numbers with an R& B flavour from the ‘50s through to present day, with the emphasis on having fun and providing great music for listening and dancing.
