Sunflower&I

Sebastian is a genius floral artist and Lukasz is a most congenial host, whose rich, melodious baritone has graced even St Martin in the Fields in concert.

To describe the decor as eclectic, Bohemian chic is to fall into cliché which doesn't do it justice. Great splashes of colour greet you as you enter and are faced with Seb's raw materials and works in progress. A few tables and chairs surround a fanciful floor-to-ceiling "tree" created from large branches and small, festooned with fairy lights and decorations. Beyond, a salon with more tables and chairs (a few even match) scattered in alcove, corners and surrounding a baby grand piano. Fine china and wooden crates. Draperies and rough barn board. It's a place like no other I've seen before.

Wonderful place. Beautiful decor with attention to small details. Food is delicious and served in elegant way. Interesting combination of a coffee and tea house/ florist/ restaurant with some polish cousine in the menu.

A delightful find in a corner of Cardiff Bay! So pretty and unusual. Food and service was very good too. Highly recommended!

Lovely, had a great time with friendly staff and great ambience, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Tea in proper cups and saucers, wonderful cake. Thank you.

Wonderful, off the wall place with tea and cake and Polish platters to suit all. Music is often played and it isn't unusual for the waiter to burst into song. This is a real hidden gem.

So welcoming and relaxing. The staff are always happy and very helpful, and willing to demonstrate their flower arranging skills. The result is beautiful and whoever receives the bouquet is a very lucky person! !

This is an absolutely lovely cafe/bar/florist/music venue. We popped in for lunch, and had couple of freshly made and generously sized toasted sandwiches to the backdrop of eclectic decor and the scent of freshly cut flowers. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

We visited the Sunflower & I for my Sister-in-law's family hen party and the service we received from start to finish was flawless. The two gentleman who operate the Cafe/florist were exceptional hosts. The whole group felt welcome and relaxed in their presence. The bride to be and her party were full of 'wow's' when they entered the building and again when they seen the selection on offer for afternoon tea. The Sunflower & I deserve all the success they receive and is a true hidden gem of Cardiff Bay. A place I am willing to brag about but also happy to keep as my selfish little secret.

Wonderful flowers, and the best coffee with added musical twist you could ever discover, all in Cardiff. A hidden gem.

Almost didn't post how absolutely amazing this coffee and cake shop/ florist/ live music/ performance community hub is as it's too good to share! What a find. I live in London but regularly visit Cardiff and have had the opportunity to enjoy the sunflower and I numerous times, each even better than the last. Hard to describe......just go and experience
