Swansea Museum

A typical tired urban museum, with lots of displays relating to the world wars, lethargic, unengaging staff, under use of multi-media and little in the way of wow factor.

A really good day out. It's so surprising what has happened in Swansea over the years. I liked the war stories

Nice day out with lots of variety.. good day for the kids and adults alike.. entry is free too which is always a bonus..

We have done make your own kite and copper plaiting here both equally fantastic xx the museum is good too with a hunt for the kids to encourage them to look everywhere xx

Interesting little museum which houses two exhibition areas downstairs that change every few months or so, a room where craft events/kids activities take place and a room with local pottery, upstairs some archeological artefacts and a room full of curiosities. It may not be as big as the Waterfront museum on the other side of the green, or have as good facilities, but it's actually the better museum of the two.

A small but awesome little museum, it has its own Egyptian mummy!

Great local museum, impressive WW1 display with a wealth of other locally focussed displays. Local action groups also well represented

Great free museum with children's activities taking place when we went Saturday end of Feb Half term. My sons were interested in the WW1 trench and war film and also the mummy!
Drinks machine and gift shop. In an interesting old looking building not far from car park and waterfront.
