Cameron shines for Wales v England reports Wales Online
CAMERON LEWIS (the lone Osprey, but what a game)
The Ospreys had only one representative in the Wales starting line-up that faced England, but England could have been forgiven for thinking Cameron Lewis had sneaked his twin onto the field as well.... Time and again the Coleg Sir Gar product put his hand up for ball carrying; time and again he made real yardage. “His work-rate sets him apart from a lot of hookers,” said Horsman. “He’s done a lot with our forwards coach James Chapron and he has a willingness to carry ball and do what it takes for the side. “Cameron scored a good try against England and has been excellent on this trip.”
Well Done Cam

In May we held our Senior Annual Presentation Evening which turned out to be a quiet affair enjoyed by all who attended.
During the evening a special presentation was given to Richard Gwynn in recognition of his outstanding service to the Club.
Richard joined the Club as a 17 year old wing in 1971, becoming 2nd team captain for 3 seasons from 1976, in 1979 became Club Secretary until standing down due to ill health in July 2017, a period of 48 years dedicated service. For ma...ny years Richard was the club representative on District E of the WRU, becoming a WRU Board Director in 2011. After playing Richard became a District referee and later a European Cup Match Commissioner and WRU match assessor.
Pictured is Richard being presented by Club Secretary Martin Bevan-Jones with a painting of the clubhouse, the work of our very own Alisha Withers.
The evening also saw the presentation of the seasons awards with following players being recipients
1st XV Coaches Player of the Year - Tom Edmunds
1st XV Blake Morgan Players Player of the Year - Michael Evans
1st XV Most Promising Player of the Year - Sam Winrow
1st XV N.D. John Supporters Player of the Year - Michael Evans
1st XV Phil Morse Award Most Positions Started - Luke Jenkins

Many Congratulations go to Cameron Lewis one of our Youth team players who is to graduate from age grade rugby with the Ospreys to train as part of the 'B' Group at Llandarcy Academy of Sport. Cam has also been rewarded for his hardwork this month with the honour of being selected for the Wales Under 18 squad which saw him bag a brace of tries against Ireland in the Festival of Rugby held at Cardiff Arms Park. We at Swansea Uplands are all very proud of you Cam and wish you all the very best in your rugby career. Don't be a stranger.

As a member of The Phil Harmonics we had the pleasure to perform at your lovely club on Bank Holiday Sunday. The welcome we received from everyone was second to none. The meal provided for us was delicious and lots of it. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope everyone watching in the club did also. We look forward to returning again in the future x

Amazing team with an amazing venue and great facilities to match.

User

A lovely setting to spend a afternoon in a welcoming environment. The clubhouse and facilities are superb .

We attended a 'champagne' lunch event at the invitation of friends .

From the moment we arrived we recieved a warm welcome , the members, committee and volunteers worked tirelesly to ensure every thing ran smoothly.

Over the years I've eaten at many a rugby club , the catering here was pitched perfectly for the type of event with a choice that would cater for a wide variety of dietary needs.

All served in a well oiled, proffesional manner.

The afternoons entertainment was a ladies choir , not normally my choice of Sunday afternoon drinks party but I was proven wrong as the choir were excellent with a wide and varied repertoire all delivered with style , gusto and quality .

A great day , one I hope to be repeated soon .

Excellent !
