who we are:

South Wales Community Mountain Rangers (Sw. cmr)

We are a community organisation who always have the community in mind

Sw. cmr was formed to help the communities of RCT to prevent the all too common fire and litter damage to our local environment.

If you feel strongly about our area, and want to get involved , you can do this by signing up as a volunteer vie our website, or by reporting suspicious activity, such as grass fires or fly tipping.

( please note if you see any grass fires please always contact the fire service emergency services first )

What we do:

Practical engagement with mountains, woodlands and uplands to develop environmental audit skills.

Rivers clean ups, Litter picks, fly tip removals, footpath maintenance.

Organising walks and community activities to raise awareness and engagement.

Teaching bush craft and countryside skills to young people to reduce the likelihood of malicious fires.

Encouraging and increasing the safe and responsible use of mountains, woodlands and uplands across South Wales.

Creating responsibility for the beautiful landscape we live in.

To protect, maintain and create public footpaths.
