Talyllyn Railway

A must do when in Wales. Great little trains and thoroughly enjoyable ride. Great scenery, friendly staff. Dolgoch falls are well worth the short walk too.

A great trip down memory lane for me. It is more than 50 years since I was last there. Lovely ride and views, good facilities. Compares well with other heritage railways.

We very much enjoyed traveling through the Wales countryside in this historic steam engine train. The cabins inside the train are well appointed with wood detailing and fabric seating. There are stops of interest for all passengers whether it's tea and scones or a strenuous hike up a waterfall.

If you love steam railways then you will love the Talyllyn Railway. Easy to get to, good parking and a fab train ride. Excellent breakfast deal before your ride.

My boyfriend and I went brough tickets for the 4.20pm steam train which takes around 2.5hrs return journey think this one takes longer as you are the last train of the day but nevertheless we both enjoyed out time on the train getting to take in the scenery and knowing how the train functions. The other passengers were lovely and previously the day before my boyfriend had taken part in race the train which is a running competition of different distances to see if you can run faster then the train well worth going to if you haven't before so he was showing me the route they had to run and taking to the other passengers about it. The price is decent and of you donate you get a voucher to spend on food or drink in the cafe or get yourself a souvenir in their gift shop I would highly recommend the experience.

Very nice narrow gauge railway with passionate staff and a beautiful journey!

Friendly staff, nice views but most of all our kids lived it.

A good long ride on a old fashioned steam train. Good museum too.
