Around the time of the battle of Hastings in 1066 it is recorded that a small fort occupied castle hill. It it thought that sometime later St Catherine’s Island was established as a place of Christian worship by the creation of a small chapel.

Welcome to our facebook page: The Tenby Island Project is an application is to take an outdated building that has fallen into state of disrepair, rebuild and make good the original structure in a sympathetic fashion and give the island a new lease of life which combines education, conservation and adds value to Pembrokeshire’s tourism industry. The type of exhibitions that would be brought to the island would be a mix of historical, nature, interactive interpretation and visual interest.
