Bowling 101: The Granny. First performed in 1962 when Smith S. Smitherson had to pull out of a championship due to a broken thumb (resulting from an underground thumb war match), old Nana Smitherson stepped up to the plate with this technique, resulting in a perfect game and the oldest debut competitor to win a championship.

Bowling 101: The Helicopter. A timeless classic! The increased velocity from the rotation often leaders to the shattering of the front pin, a real crowd pleaser. Yeh, we know some stuff.

User

User

Cheap on Sunday for 5 adults £35 for 3 games, great evening out!

User

Amazing value on Tuesdays 50% off. Single game of Bowling only £3.98 for 2 people. Pint of Stella at the bar only £2.00. Can't go wrong.

User

Went there on a Tuesday evening which was relatively cheap. 7 people in total, kids included with 2 games and 2 sharing platters for around £45. Drinks on the night were half price which helped also. Couldn't start our first game as our lane pins were jammed up. Moved both parties lanes to get us both started, only for our lane to continuously jam once again. After numerous attempts to fix the problem we were then moved for a third time to finish our second game. The lady who helped us out was trying her best to be fair to her and she offered the kids some sweets which softened the blow. In general, Bowling balls were in a sorry state, seating areas were filthy, floor was sticky and rubbish left on the tables for some time afterwards. Maybe the venue can get an overhaul the same time as Parc Tawe? Generally in a poor state as to what it was once before. I'd only recommend going on a Tuesday evening as it was so cheap.

User

Wasn't impressed with the overall service today for what we payed. We booked for a group of 10 and we're told we couldn't pay separately so we had to take the money out of their cash machine which charged £1.85 to then be told we could all pay separate. Wasn't happy. I did complain and they gave the kids free drinks each. Also it was absolutely freezing there, so cold my daughter had to wear her coat. Was told the heating was on when we asked but it couldnt have been. It seemed they couldn't deal with how busy it was down there and should definitely hire more staff on school holidays.

User

Very tired looking and dated in swansea. The womens toilets were awful wee on the seat we were going to use and blood in another cubicle. The place needs doing up. Kids enjoyed though and food was ok. Wouldn't pay full price to play though had a school holiday deal. Telephoned sale person about problem with booking changed day asked for an email to confirm. Had to phone again the next day for confirmation.

User

Took my son expecting to use my clubcard vouchers , but was told when I got ther that I couldn't because there was 50%off and can only use them on full price games, so I said well I don't mind being charged full price so I could use my vouchers. Was again told no because the computer automatically charges the reduced price. Surely with technology there should be a way to over ride it. I ended up having to pay to avoid disappointment for my son. We enjoyed our time but I wasn't happy with the outcome.

User

Pins kept jamming or flying down the lane the wrong way. Lost count of times staff had to go walking down and sorting it. Not cleanest place. Used Tesco Clubcard vouchers otherwise would have been very annoyed. Maybe they could updat the lanes and pins more than adding more arcade games.

User

Needs refurbishment but staff are friendly and helpful. A little expensive at over £12 for two children aged 3&2. To have one game. Hopefully when the surrounding centre is refurbed they will do the bowling alley and review the prices. The kids did enjoy.

User

Had a good time. £7 for 3 games after 7.30pm on Sundays however the bowling lanes and TV's could really do with a makeover. Still using CRT monitors and the lanes looked tired but by the way my son was slamming the bowling ball down on them I'm not surprised. Food and drinks were of reasonable standard but for a fiver for a burger you shouldnt get reasonable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Just need to look at getting those lanes and tv's changed.

User

Found it quite expensive, but the staff were so friendly and helpful, the place really needs updating, maybe that will come in time as there is a lot of external work going on at present, my grandchildren really enjoyed the games though.

User

Either setup before you let people in, or let people in on time and then setup. Opening ten minutes late, and still setting everything up is not a good way to start the customer experience.

User

The place is run down, poorly maintained and suffering from the surrounding refurbishment.

My partner scalded her hand on boiling hot water from the taps; no plugs available to run water into the sink and temper with cold water. Staff reluctant to add details into accident book. This could have been particularly serious if someone had been sensory impaired.

Manager signed us in for a few free games the following week, which was a nice offer but the place is poorly managed and penny pinching on maintenance will cost them dearly in the end.

There has always been an aloof attitude from staff at this place who all seem to have one gear and not much in the way of providing customer satisfaction. A good shakedown from the top is required I think.

Shame.

User

We took our daughter for the first time and she loved it, however it was very dated there, no proper cook just one poor lady running back and forth from the food but to the bar and delivering food to lanes, no hat gloves or apron on.

The lady behind the desk was miserable as sin and not at all helpful and the toilets were stinking!

Needs some tlc and customer care training.

User

We had to move lanes half way through the second frame because the pins kept falling over. The lanes we moved onto had the same problem.

If it wasnt for the company this would be one of the worst nights ive had out.

Also the pool table had to be opened every time the white went down.

Not worth the £18 each at all.

User

Took my Daughters here for a fun filled couple of hours. It was so expensive £20 for one game for the 3 of us and £33 for 2 games!

The balls weren't in great shape and the place feels so run down.

A quick game, spent out and not a great outing for her birthday.

Disappointing to say the least and decided we will deffo not be back in a hurry.

User

From the start we had issues with pin missing and had to keep asking for them to be reset. Then halfway through we had to move lanes due to this. Then on the new lane everything was sticking again numerous rested had to take place. The place in itself is dated and in dire need of an upgrade. The lanes have seen better days. The children's rails are all buckled and bent. Obviously from other comments on here the issues are on going and appears no one is interested.
