HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

I provide a friendly, reliable, local service at an affordable cost that I am sure you will find represents good value for money compared to larger companies and specialised tradespeople.

For larger jobs I will normally arrange to visit your property to discuss your requirements and assess the work required in order to provide a free estimate with no obligation. A written quote can be provided on request. Alternatively, I am more than happy to undertake your list of smaller jobs in one visit if you wish to engage me for an hour, 2 hours, or half a day, the choice is yours.

JOB MATERIALS - I will endeavour to source all materials from local suppliers as cost effectively as possible. Any materials used on your job will be charged at cost price. I carry a small stock of commonly used items e. g. white paint, timber, fixings so where possible I can charge just for the quantities used. This will keep the cost of materials for you the customer at the absolute minimum. You can of course, source your own materials, and in some cases e. g. wall coverings, coloured paints, where your preference is key, this may be the best option. I am happy to work with you in any way you wish so that we get the right materials at the right price for your job.


INSURANCE

All work is fully covered by Public Liability Insurance (£1, 000, 000) from AXA insurance
This cover extends to the following trades: property maintenance, painting & decorating, gardening services.


ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Rhiwbina, Cardiff and have lived here most of my life. Some of the older residents may remember Bridge Stores, before it became the Nat West Bank in 1969. This was built by my grandfather and was the family business and home.

From an early age I was an enthusiast of all things practical, learning the basics of household maintenance and painting and decorating from my father.

I spent the majority of my working life with British Telecom as a project manager, where I acquired a range of business, financial, and IT skills along with the more practical abilities of planning jobs and ensuring they keep on track, get completed on time, on budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction.

In December 2012, I decided it was time to move on from my professional career and spend more time with my family and doing all those things I really enjoy. With over 30 years of DIY experience maintaining our own home and that of other family members, I wanted to offer my services to other home and business owners by providing reliable, practical affordable help with a wide range of household and garden projects.

I set up Terry’s Here 2 Help because I really enjoy it, and want to help. If there is something I can help you with, or you just want to talk a project over and get some advice, just give me a call.
