Tesco Extra

whilst shopping today my 3 year old son Max had a little meltdown over the fact he couldn't have the box of play dough I really really really needed! A store worker (I wish I'd caught her name) walked by then stopped and turned,came back and said "oh I'm friends with santa..would you like me to tell him you'd really like this for Christmas? he calls here to place orders so I could let him know if you like" Max was so happy......she had completely halted the meltdown and Max happily left the play dough behind!

She could have ignored max and carried on walking but she really helped by just taking a few minutes out...... so here's a massive thank you to tescos for employing such lovely staff!!! Merry Christmas from the Greenslades x

great store clean and friendly, car parking is easy, also nice to sit and have a cup of coffee and some food etc.

Would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the two members of staff who were in the Bakery at the store at Spytty Road, Newport today & gave assistance to my husband & myself after my husband suffered a seizure. I failed to ask your names, but I won't forget your faces. Will thank you properly next time we visit.

Today my seven year old decided to run off whilst I was shopping normally he would go to customer service if we couldn't find each other I went into complete panic when after 15minutes I couldn't find him I approached the security guard explained they were fantastic there were two specific security guards who went out of their way to reassure me and find my son he was found safe and well but little upset I didn't get the two security guards names I wish I did ( this was at bout 4pm) fantastic service

The best place for all your shopping needs. The kids love it for the free fruit they offer and if you need a quick hair cut you can't go wrong,

My car broke down in the petrol station this afternoon, The ladies in the forecourt shop were so helpful to myself and my passenger. They made us a cup of tea while we waited for the RAC and we had offers of food as well. It certainly helped to pass the time. Many thanks for the excellent service!

Just wanted to say Thank you to all the staff that helped me in store today when I was passing out... they got me a chair and water and checked up on me until I was able to leave... you're all fab xx

Just want to say a huge big thank you to the in store photo service desk, after being let down by another company, previously had problems downloading my photos to make a golden wedding album, the assistant was outstanding on helping me with my phone and many attempts managed to download them for me I must have been in for hour trying, service brilliant keep it up made my day.....

I dislike shopping at the best of times but popped into Tesco at Spytty immaculate and seemed to stock everything you could imagine will be calling back

Just got home following a trip to tescos that turned out to be longer than I thought. Not tescos fault but all the electrics went which meant they couldn't scan all my groceries that the cashier had already started putting through. The two cashiers I had were really pleasant and made my time waiting enjoyable. So after an hour patiently waiting they decided to shut the shop but could put our shopping through on the self service tills. All cashiers were at the ready to help. Apparently security had to chase some customers who had pinched items from the store in all the chaos! Just wanted to say that tesco dealt with it all pretty well, but my suggestions of a discount off my shopping or a complimentary bottle of prosecco didn't go down well. I was more disgusted by the fact my family hadn't noticed I'd been gone longer than usual.

Well done Tesco and hope you get the matter sorted soon

Friendly staff.overworked underpaid like everwhere else in britain.defo shop there again.prices are some what questionable on meats and fish..

Shopping expedition, almost weekly event.

Sat in funky monkeys, which has a horrendous drain smell. Which is putting people off coming in to use the facility.

I have spoken to funky monkeys and they said it's up to Tesco to sort it. I am a member I am a regular user and I would like to still come to the soft play with out feeling sick �

It's not a bad shop but the one thing I hate the most is the idiotic people who thinks it's fast and furious in the night! We have had several near misses and we have no end of time spoken to management about it and nothing seems to happen, how long until they kill someone or themselves it's disgusting that they get a way with racing and endangering lives and when you say anything to them they just laugh and speed off!!

absolutely fuming just left this store which caused my autistic son to have a serious meltdown through no fault of ours....management need to have training in customer service as well as having training with autism clearly not disabled friendly.....persuing this matter further!

Very disappointed...... doors opened at 1000 and the tills don’t open until 1100....

How to lose trade quickly....

Never felt so uncomfortable in a shop as at the self check out tonight, when I witnessed an employee (whose job it is to help people in that area) mocking and swearing under her breath at an elderly gentleman who was struggling to scan an item. Spoke to the supervisor who assured me she would speak to the employee, albeit she conveniently told me she failed to see/hear this incident herself when I complained, despite the fact that she was no more than 2 metres away from her colleague at the time (she clearly did as she intervened to speak to the gentleman, whilst her colleague calmed down). I seriously hope this is looked at because that level of disrespect in store of a major company like Tesco, is disgraceful.

I have made an order online (my 2nd one) last week delivered with no issues. I've been waiting since 10pm and it's now 00:50 and still no delivery so I checked online to see where my stuff is. It says it's been delivered but no it hasn't. Taken my money and not delivered my food shopping what kind of idiots are working there? I'm absolutely fuming there is no one to call

I am so disappointed. I have just been to use the click and collect service (which I have been using weekly since it started). I sat waiting at the collection point with 2 other customers, the collection time was 12-2pm (this was 12.15). By 12.30 the van still hadn't arrived so I contacted the customer services number.



After going through of all of the details, I got told my order (and everyone else's for 12-2) had been CANCELLED. Not one of us had been notified of these and when I asked why it had been cancelled and we had not been notified, no reason was given.



30 minutes later I am still awaiting for the dot com manager to call me back to discuss this and have still not received any notification of not getting a order or that Tesco's have cancelled it their end.



I am very annoyed and disappointed in this service. If you had contacted people to say, for whatever reason the service couldn't be provided today and would be re-scheduled people would be more understanding. As it is you now just have alot of annoyed customers with more to come (anyone who had a delivery between 12-2).



I await a manger to contact me about this and explain the situation to me. I have lost faith in this service and don't think I I'll be using it again in the future.
