People seem to forget it's net double Boogie so of your handicap gives you a shoot on par 4 then you would score 7 could be useful for certain comps
Breaking good news from Berwyn Owen:- As part of Natural Resources Wales input to a UK scheme to improve dune areas which has just had national lottery funding approval. Work will begin shortly on Towyn Trewan Common to open up the gorse scrub areas to livestock, taking pressure off the golf course grassland, provide an additional gathering point for sheep remote from the course. The work will also create wet scrapes and open sand areas to benefit flora and fauna and control some invasive non-native species before they spread further.
With a horrendous weather forecast 16 seniors braved the potential storm which in the end did not materialise although plenty of wind. So well done boys and couple of new faces on the podium
Time sheet for the weekend Sydney Brand comp.
What a great day for golf, abit of a breeze kept the worst of the heat off the seniors. 32 seniors from AGC and our friends from St Deiniol played close friendly match which unfortunately Anglesey lost 41/2 to 31/2.
Coming soon call 01407 811127 to book supporting a great cause ๐โณ๏ธ๐๐ฟโโ๏ธ
Seniors Tuesday golf saw 14 take part in stableford (bit of practice for Thursday's match against St Deiniol ). Brilliant sunshine that to be honest was getting too hot by the end.
If only all sportsmen treated the rules and decisions with respect

Excellent meeting with Vice Chair of Conservators to discuss in detail the next tranche of drainage works on the course, provisionally in September. The work will focus on ditches that impact on the drainage of the 9th fairway and it is anticipated that this will significantly relieve the flooding that happened last winter. Subject to funding the work may also include reprofiling the ditch from 8th green and the ditch on right hand side of 8th fairway/Tee area.

Seniors enjoyed a great day's golf with our friends at Storws Wen followed by an Indian in the new restaurant. Perhaps we should have had the Indian first as AGC lost 5-1
19 players braved the boiling conditions to play in seniors Tuesday stableford. Congratulations to Lee macey new comer to seniors for top podium finish
The red stakes on left hand side of 9th fairway in the rough, delineate the route of the old ditch which it is hoped will be reestablished to reduce flooding on the 9th fairway. This ditch eventually joins the ditch at the back of the 9th green and outlets to the river by 11th green.
