Small local pub but friendly to outsiders and very tasty food at a decent price.
Went for a Sunday carvery and was not very busy at the time. We waited 30 minutes for the carvery when other people had come in after us and only waited 5 minutes. The carvery has gone right down hill used to be very nice food. Will Defo not be going there again.
Impressive considering 24 of us walked in unannounced and the majority wanted food.
Excellent hot and tasty lunches.
A group of 14 of us descended on the Boathouse last week at lunchtime. We had excellent meals which we all enjoyed very much. The chips were home made as was everything else - made to order. Fabulous.
Lovely views, good beer and the carvery on a Sunday is fantastic. We had a choice of five meats, we had no extra cost for having all five. Kid friendly and a great atmosphere for everyone.
We stopped over at the Boatyard Inn for one night with our campervan on Friday night. Found it on a 'pub stop over' site - never having been to Bangor before. We used the pub and pitched up in the car park. The pub was friendly and quiet. The landlord and staff were brilliant - extremely helpful. For the four of us we ordered 2 meals from the bar menu and they provided another 2 meals (omlete and chips) which was not on the menu. The food was scrumy and freshly cooked. The beer was fantastic and the service was faultless.
The car park was very private and we had a good nights sleep.
They are under new management and we cannot speak highly enough of the establishment. Will definitely visit again.
The décor looks a bit shabby and a bit dated, but don't let that put you off, the food is good and great value for money.
Good beer good food nice garden great staff
Lovely staff but pretty average food. Took ages to arrive and was quite small. And cost £30!!
