Owners couldn't have been nicer. They even brought our dogs a treat. Food and beer was lovely. Can't wait to come back.

We stopped off here for food. Menu with good selection of local produce. Very well presented and value for money

Nice country pub, which means its a but dark inside But good atmosphere and lovely food. Table of 6 all got our food at the same time.

Authentic, family owned pub. The proverbial local and travellers rest. The food is hearty, with a large selection of dishes and good portion size. The beer is well curated and varied, and there is also a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The owners are approachable and knowledgeable, and always friendly, but will leave you alone of you just fancy a quiet pint or meal.

This place was recommended to us by the owner of the local cottage we rented. We stopped by on the first night and have found ourselves coming back each evening for supper. Food is between six and nine so perfect if you're just off a long day's hike!

If you are looking for a good meal or a couple of end of day pints I can't recommend it enough, it reminds me strongly of the "proper pubs" of old, now sadly fewer in number round by me.

A true country pub with excellent hospitality and good food. We have read some poor reviews for this pub and do not agree with them. I would say that if you want 'fine dining' you should go to a restaurant that caters for that kind of food. Linda is an excellent host.

Excellent place for a visit anytime of the week or year. Throughly recommend the Bryn Barra and the black pudding stack! Cask Alex always in fine fettle!

Amazing food and incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming staff. If you've never been before you have to try the Bryn Bara. Set in a lovely valley not far from Bala. They are also dog friendly.
