The Caldwell Autism Foundation

The Caldwell Autism Foundation works to further the achievements of Phoebe Caldwell, respected and admired internationally for her work providing communication support to people on the autistic spectrum. We are a grant giving foundation. Phoebe works with some of the most isolated individuals in society, people who experience difficulty communicating – children and adults who may have no verbal communication skills at all. Using Responsive Communication, her unique approach to communication support, Phoebe is able to initiate and nurture emotional engagement between the individual and those who love and care for them. The Caldwell Foundation will build on Phoebe's work, creating a network of skilled practitioners across the UK to provide communication support to people on the autistic spectrum. In addition, The Caldwell Foundation will continue and expand Phoebe's tireless work in raising awareness of the communication difficulties of people on the spectrum. We will campaign for due recognition of the rights and entitlements of people on the autistic spectrum as valued members of their community and of society as a whole.
