Tender lamb and spicy chorizo, a tomato sauce and surrounded by shortcrust pastry... excuse me for a moment but I may have gone to pie heaven. Served with mash, peas and gravy and for only £7? You’d be mad to miss out on this.

Totally dog friendly, what more can you say?

Top credit to Lee the bouncer. Some of the best man management of a facility I've seen in a long time. Number of my mates were stood with no seats, he found a gap in the market, a bit of movement later we were all sat down and top tanco resumed in good spirits.

The choice of real and craft ales is superb. Not a cider drinker personally but plenty of choice for those who are. Bar staff friendly, helpful and attentive. The music playing yesterday was top notch (80's). It was a shame I had a train to catch

User

The Cambrian Tap is a hidden gem of a pub in Cardiff city centre.

There is a huge selection of drinks available and all staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the beers they offer, therefore ensuring they can find you something you'll like if you feel like trying something new.

It's a great place to visit if you want a craft beer - or any other drink of choice - in a friendly and cosy environment.

User

Stopped in on the way back to the train station. Greated by a friendly hello and made feel welcome during our indicision on which drinks. With a great recommendation we tried a flight of half glasses of cider. Pub was nice and quant. Wish we lived near by, this would be our go to pub.

User

Popped in last night as live music on..

Staff great helping us decide what to drink, great environment .

Hope to visit again In July when back down for speedway

User

Lovely time with lovely and friendly staff. Got opportunity to try 1st a few ales among a huge selection of great cask ales, got my pick and sticked to it for a couple, love the place, the atmosphere, the historical side of it, my fav pub in Cardiff ! ďż˝

User

I had an awesome welcome today, I was on the cask ale trail for 12 codes for ale week, I got served by a knowledgeable guy who didn't say go away when I tried 4 ales and still wasn't sure especially with a no go to ale! I'd like to assume it was the manager came to chat also then said crack the mental one open and gave me a taste of a 12% ale!!! Not many people would do this, I thank you once again sir! I really did appreciate this gesture and won't forget it! I would gladly recommend this friendly place and can't wait to get there again sometime! Thanks guys!

User

Great pub with an excellent selection of beers good atmosphere. A little bit pricey and could have had more people serving on the Rolling Stones concert day it at least a better queuing system. Customers were getting a bit agitated

But the bar staff were up against it. We had a great afternoon there though.

User

Great pint and the do something called a flight, which lets you taste 1/3 pint of 3 different ales ďż˝

User

Great little pub. Lots of choice for real ales and very helpful staff offering a taster before choosing my tipple.

The pub itself is not too large and quite light and airy. A small but good selection of small bites / pies - nice to see a pub concentrate on the beer ale and service rather than the food and part restaurant side.

Would I go again, definitely. Would I recommend to others, yes.

A full five stars from me.

User

A must for all beer and still cider lovers....and nice pies. ..not far from station either. ..love the mural on the wall and beer /cider tapas

User

called in here on Sunday 9th Oct with some friend's who like a real ale not being a fan myself I tried the strawberry beer & the Cornish larger & was not disappointed but if you do like a pint of of real ale you should not pass this place by the staff were friendly & made us feel welcome thank you

User

We didn't have enough time to stay for more than an ale but what I saw was very impressive: a good selection of cask and keg, very smart looking seating area and darn good looking food. I hope to return to Cardiff later this year and will certainly make it back for a longer stay at the Cambrian.

User

Very decent little pub. Makes a great change from the original brains beer Have to say I'm not a fan ,but their craft beers are delicious. Sterling effort

User

This is a proper little pub balancing out the many ‘bars’ in Cardiff. Great beers, atmosphere and staff. An enjoyable few hours taking refuge from Storm Brian on Saturday afternoon with a few mates.....

User

It's a good little pub, with a great selection of beers. The mural on the wall is cool in spite of the spelling mistake. People seem to be impressed by the pies, which I was also looking forward to, however, they had none! Or Scotch eggs, sold out! I will still go back next time I'm in Cardiff.

User

2nd time visiting here and made a point of coming back as I remembered the excellent beer on my last trip . Didn’t let down and the beers were ace ! Busy as the rugby was on but excellent service throughout . Roll on my next trip to Cardiff !
