Food poisoning... had the fish and chips. Fish tasted a bit... off? Put it down to my lack of fish-eating expertise and continued to finish. 5 hours later, food poisoning symptoms start. 4 week later I'm still dealing with the after-effects (gastroenteritis and food intolerance). If you need evidence you can ask my doctor for results of my stool sample.

Bar staff were rude and almost overcharged us before we realised and asked them to check the order. Barmaid didn't know what a shandy was and spoke to my mum like a 2 year old (maybe because my mum's foreign and therefore has no grasp of the English language, I don't know), and the woman supervising her didn't know how to interact with us using multisyllabic words. For example, 'what time do you start serving food?' 'six'. 'Can we sit anywhere or is there a restaurant-only area?' 'yep.'

Also, the dogs are cute and all that, but it's really unhygienic having 4 of them wandering around while we're trying to eat. And they really add that 'wet dog aroma' to the place.

Kitchen staff were alright though.

The standard and quality of food has gone down hill since taken over. The quality of the steaks are poor and very chewy. The steak sauces are appalling. The staff always seem to be disinterested in serving customers and a couple are quite unpleasant on occasions. It's such a shame, we've been eating there for years whilst on holiday but time to find somewhere new now.

So bad we were given a full refund with no argument. Honestly, is it the managements fault for letting such awful food out of the kitchen or the cook (can't have been a chef)? The staff were nice enough, but how can you run a business selling food when the food is inedible? They couldn't even cook fish fingers for a child. Deep fried and completely solid throughout. Seafood linguine? Dry pasta, 1 prawn, 2 mussels, 2 tiny (and I mean tiny) pieces of squid. I've never had to give such a bad review before. 1 star for the refund.
