Great food, good atmosphere, much improved with new menu. Well worth a visit
Very welcoming place to stay. We were on a long distance cycle ride and they could not have been more helpful
We had a couple of really pleasant nights in the pub and one delicious meal! The menu was quite basic but executed brilliantly and the portion size was very generous! The Landlady and staff were very welcoming and even found a box of dominoes for us. We had a few games of pool and darts and my daughter played her first frame!
This does excellent and simple pub food at great prices. Friendly staff and a good selection of drinks too. It's a gem of a place
We had a very nice evening meal at this friendly pub, last week. June 2017.
The waitress and staff were very helpful, and when our food arrived we were happily surprised with the generous portions. You certainly need a big appetite! The food itself was all local, and freshly cooked.
I had the Welsh Lamb minted Steak, and my dad had the Plaice, our friend had the lazarna which was served in a big dish with lots of chips separately. His lazarna was topped with lots of cheese. He enjoys his food, and we will be happy to return soon.
Good food friendly & helpful staff. 15 min walk into town . Would use again , value for money.
Love the carpenters. Our regular "haunt". Sunday carvery is the best ever. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Went there as a group of six on a Sunday and pre booked a table. The food was absolutely beautiful, we all had Sunday dinner and the plates were left empty by the end of it. All the meats were gorgeous. Service was amazing and would definetly recommend to try it!
Great food at very reasonable prices. 11 of us are and the bill came to less than £80. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. My one criticism, the windows needed to be opened as it got hot. That said, it's the summer. It's going to get hot. :)
