The Carpenters Arms

We went here last Saturday and the food was very good. There were 4 of us and every steak was cooked perfectly. Quality of the food was great. We have been before and the sauteed potatoes are not what we are used to getting elsewhere so we all opted for the chips on this occasion instead. I personally choose saute potatoes every time if the establishment offers them as a choice and up until now I always enjoy them. I'm not sure on where their interpretation of this dish comes from but it wasn't for us. However that perhaps is more of a personal preference which is why we all chose the chips this time. The chips were really nice. We will go back again at some point but it won't be for the sauteed potatoes. However everything else is well worth going there for.

Amazing 3 course meal, especially the homemade desserts, delicious. All staff were polite, friendly and accomadating. Will definitely return, thank you. Highly recommended.

Great country pub with super food. Good parking and pleasant outdoor areas. Welcoming staff too.

Steak cooked to perfection. Salad shredded raw cabbage! Shared vegetables etc. Would prefer my sides on my own plate. Service ok but they do not accept complaints very well. Customer service could be better
