What a fantastic place, absolutely beautiful inside and out! Our room was out of this world, comfy bed and very large room and bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble and to top it off we had a beautiful breakfast too. Can't wait to book again !!!

What a beautiful placed to stay in the heart of the Towy Valley.

The food is something else.

Truly scrumptious locally sourced food with a great seasonal menu ranging from Welsh traditional with a modern twist, through to heartly posh nosh that would impress any avid restaurant goer.

You can even enjoy a day time light bit or a catch up drink at their lunch bar decked out old school style or their vodka bar which is as swanky and modern as any shabby chic, retro gin bar in the cities.

The rooms are beautifully designed and give homage to the buildings more traditional routes while insuring that each suit or room is to the highest modern standard. So just think stunning wooden beams and large, grand timber windows mixed with sparkling modern bathrooms suits with top of the range LED TVs with Wi-Fi.

So If you're coming to Wales to see the old castles and culture packed west Wales this town and this hotel is a no brainer and a wish list must do for any romantic get away.

...and their breakfast menu is delious!!

Went for father’s day afternoon tea on Sunday. Food was stunning, everything was really tasty and beautifully presented. The service was also very good. I can’t wait to come again!!

We stay regularly and have called for bar meals. The food is sourced locally, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Come rain or shine this is a gem of a venue

We had our wedding at The Cawdor on Saturday 26th May and it was the best day. The venue looked amazing and everything I had envisioned. Nothing was too much for the staff. They were very efficient and excellent service. One of our guests fell ill during the wedding breakfast and she was superbly looked after and I can’t thank you enough for that. Food served was out of this world. We have had guests telling us it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Timings were impeccable. Turning the room around from wedding breakfast ready for our evening entertainment took less than an hour so there was no hanging around with the guests. Everything ran like clock work. We can’t thank you enough for everything. A special mention also to Jake who has been there from the beginning from when we first got engaged at the hotel to various meetings and stays in between to working the full day of the wedding and still being there at 2am when we eventually called it a night! We came to the Spanish evening and it was amazing. The food was outstanding and my only complaint is that the portions were so big that by the time the paella came out we were so full we only managed a few mouthfuls of it. The wines we were given with the meal were excellent and the couple who talked about the wine were interesting without being intrusive. Please please please do another night like this and make it an Italian night???

Stayed last night on the Black Friday special deal of £50 per room bed and continental breakfast (kitchen undergoing work). We were accommodated in the Brenin one bedroom apartment which is accessed outside the hotel about 30 yards. This top floor apartment is massive! Huge bedroom, separate huge living room and a good sized bathroom. All was immaculate and comfortable. The normal price is £250 per night. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Lounge full of squashy sofas, lovely open fire (Gas but looks real!) and a relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!

Stayed at the Cawdor for our wedding anniversary, friendly staff, great decor, lovely room, food first class, will definitely be staying again, highly recommended

Nice place to eat with a menu that covered enough choices without being fussy. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the choices which is always welcome. It was quite quiet when we went on a Saturday night which we didn't expect. The food was served promptly and was of a very high standard for all three courses - we thoroughly enjoyed. For a place of this standard the price was very reasonable, we did only have water and a glass of wine but still very pleased with the bill. Nice place and would certainly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on Friday 1st June and we couldn't fault it. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Secure parking to the rear. Credit must be given t the two ladies on reception (1 on Friday afternoon and another Saturday morning) who were so friendly and welcoming. Will definately be returning for a second stay

Lovely hotel with a beautiful breakfast included. Staff very friendly and helpful. The receptionist in particular was lovely and made me feel very welcome and like I was an old friend she made my stay all the better �

First time I have ever been to this place and I must say I'm so glad we stayed . As a treat for my wife's birthday we stayed and had the evening meal 1night stay and breakfast . The food was brilliant in the restaurant for our evening meal and the staff were very nice . Breakfast was equally as good with a nice choice to pick from . Overall although we only stayed one night our experience was fantastic . The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable , we shall be going back again keep up the good work .

Excellent venue for food and events. Right in the centre of a stunning town, exquisite food, great locality and professional and extremely helpful staff.

I’ve experienced the Cawdor both as restaurant guest and as user of their event chapel and have nothing but good things to say about the experience.

I’ve become a big fan

An 18th century hotel - now family owned. We stayed in one of the apartments with two rooms. The food was excellent in the restaurant. The staff were highly cordial. We enjoyed our stay. There was a personal touch which we carried as a memory.

A surprise Valentine’s trip - had an amazing time, our room was fantastic, loved the four poster bed � and the hotel bar and lounge area had a very romantic feel, lots of fairy lights, candles and a beautiful open log fire.

The restaurant was beautiful too, the lights were dim, fresh red roses on every table and the food (5 courses) was absolutely amazing �

We would definitely recommend you experience Valentine’s at this beautiful hotel

Had a lovely time this afternoon at Chloe's baby shower, food was lovely and staff were very helpful.

We had afternoon tea for 2 and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The scones were very dry, I couldn't even finish them. There was only a small pot of cream between 2 of us which was a tub which you would get having a cream tea for 1 in m&s. The chicken sandwich was chewy and the bread wasn't very fresh. No one came over to see whether we needed any more hot water for our tea so we only had 2 small cups each. I normally have lovely food in both the Cawdor and Morgan's so I go there for a treat. Overall a waste of money I wish I had gone to wyevale!
