Situated at the North end of the bay at Aberystwyth the cliff railway ascends Constitution Hill. Opened in 1896 it was originally operated by water power but converted to electric power in 1921.

It takes about 2 and a half minutes to complete the 750 feet journey, rising over 400 feet. The views over the Bay from the top are magnificent. On a good day you can see from Bardsey Island at the end of the Lleyn Peninsula in the North to Strumble Head in the South.

It is closed in the winter, opening 7 days a week from 10.00 to 18.00 in the summer (April to October). There is an excellent cafe at the summit and many well signed walks for the energetic.

Delightful trip up the Cliff and a very enjoyable walk down. Stunning views from the top. The restaurant there is worth a visit as it serves good food.

The cliff railway is really good. There is a train to get to the top of the mountain or there is a path to get up but it is your choice. For the cliff railway train you have to pay money and have a ticket. When you get to the top you can have a wonder around and there are some amazing views and some good shops

£5 return for adults £2.50 per child lovely views at the top. Option to climb the mountain on a walkway at the side. Bar bowling restaurant and viewing station at the top. Lovely on a sunny day can see for miles. Bar staff were lovely and even charged my phone for me.

Enjoyable trip up to the top of the hill. Great views of the bay. This railway has been around a long time and it's good to support it. Seniors pay £3.50 return which is a good price. You can walk up if preferred or take the railway one way only. There's a cafe and toilets and games (bowling) at the top. It's a must of visiting Aberysthwyth.

Amazing views from the top. Nice tram.

We really enjoyed our trip up the Cliff Railway. Even though it was a foggy day we still had a great view. The cafe/restaurant at the top was a great place to have a meal and a drink. Large range of meals, cakes, drinks and ice cream available. Next time we're in Aber, we'll definitely go again. The only thing to note is that there are a lot of steep stairs to climb at the top.

Walking up the hill is a better experience compared to using the cable car. It's £5 per Adult for return and £3 for kids. There is a cafe on the hill and view tower. If you want to use the telescope a 20p would be handy.

On the cliff top we enjoyed amazing views of the coastline and Aberystwyth. There are observations tower and cafe on the top.
